Scary how timeless this book is. I read it in high school and really didn't give it much thought but now as an adult who is aware to the outside world this book will scare the pants off of you. It would not take the society to many steps to get to where they are in the book (I guess that is the genius of it). Great book, a classic for a reason and worth your time. I strongly reccomend giving it a listen even if you read it years ago as I did.
Oh and I am not some conspiracy theorist nut job either, just in case I came across that way.
Not believable, that being said it is really an action packed book and kept my attention until the very end! Basically it is the audiobook version of an Action Movie, little real content but big events and entertaining scenarios. It kept me entertained for the time it took to listen to the whole thing.
I liked this book a lot. Although there is an overwelming amount of back story in the beginning but get through that first few hours and it is worth it. I did not see this coming but now can't imagine the trilogy ending any other way. I am disapointed that there will be nothing else from this writer, R.I.P. Stieg!
p.s. Just watched the movies and 1 and 2 are great but this one cut out too much and was boring. Just warning you all.
It's a good audiobook for a road trip where you are not really paying attention but there are a few laughs that are worth it.
Although Dan Brown always tells an exciting story it seems like he is just following a formula that we have seen in everyone of his books so far. It is a fun story but there is no suspension of disbelief. There is no way that any of this would happen. A better book by him is Deception Point but agiain that is more of the same but it speaks more to my realm of interest which is science and political tactics. So to sum up it is entertaining and long, so you get your moneys worth but if you didn't like Angels and Demons or the Davinci Code than don't bother because it is the same story different place.
