The chef is forced to be resourceful in many different ways.He has to shed excess baggage. The pirate captain has her ways. The crew are true pirates. I loved the creativeness and the narrator.
Claire and Jamie have been through so many things. War, abuse, loss and they love each other with an enduring love. Their story, their encounters, their difficult journey, I simply cannot get enough of them. I think the narration by Davina Porter is excellent. I just finished this one and the 4th one already downloaded. I have hours in these books and I have been involved in their path. Diana Gabaldon makes the characters so alive. I am not able to put them down.
Claire falls through time. Circumstances bring Jamie into her life. There are all sorts of events that happen to them as they fall in love. There are some steamy love scenes and some language. The story is told in such a great and moving way. I simply couldn't put it down.
I am so pleased to report that this one is so much better then the previous one. It reads like Mercedes Lackey's Five Hundred Kingdoms series. The characters are developed stronger and come into their own in a more mature way. The dots come together in an intriguing, maybe spell binding path. I liked it and I think you will too.
The story was great. Erik Bergmann, the reader was perfect. I was captured by the story almost immediately. The characters were well assembled. The only thing I didn't like was the language, but this story was a good one. The relationship between Jason Stafford and The Kid developed nicely. I would recommend this one and I might read this one again
War torn Germany, a small girl and not the heaviness of so many I have read. Papa is my favorite character. He is like still water to the girl. He gives her love and encouragement. This story holds wonderment and tears. The reader is perfect. The story is told by an interesting character, which brings you into the story. You will watch and observe with him. I hope the movie does this book justice.
The book was written in another century. The English was perfect and that almost made the book drag. It is a classic and I wanted to read it. Nicholas Nickleby was a most interesting character. His Uncle Ralph was a villain and a good one.
The story was really good. The characters are boys who have been adopted by a couple. The boys are grown and both parents have died. The 4th boy is only 10 yrs old. Seth has a social worker who knows what he needs. The story could have been told without all the language. It would stand on it's own.
Don Brown has my vote for writing this book. It moves quick and holds the readers interest. The characters are well done. The narrator is perfect.for the characters. Well done.
This book reads well from the beginning and it will keep you all the way to the end. The characters are just perfect.
