Molly Harper has some of the funniest ways of discribing even the most everyday events. I love her voice.
It has the rhythm of her other books.
Ms. Ranconi is the perfect voice for Molly's charactes.
I laughed out loud several times.
Yes, once again this team delivers a great experience. My only complaint is there are few other authors and readers delivering this level of Wahoo. It takes too long for the next books but I guess you have to wait for greatness...hmmph.
Great sense of adventure and blend of magical history for this world.
I love that there are times when listening that I forget it is not an actual male reading the male parts. Her reading lets me get lost in the story.
When lineage is everything to the powerful and the wealthy it's ironic that the elite dismiss this strength in this line of women.
Great job and I want more!
Finally the next installment! I must have a true addiction to this series because I have been jonesing for a JY fix. I am now riding the bliss of the mental rehash of this newest adventure.
The closest, but not exactly the same, would be the Patricia Briggs', Mercy Thompson books. Although I don't care for the Alpha and Omega spin off books. I also like Connie Suttle's Blood Wager books as a comparison.
Too many good ones to choose from.
Yes! Of course I already said I have an addiction.
Urban fantasy readers cannot call themselves fans of this genre without reading/listening to this series. There are a couple production issues on the audio version but they don't detract from the book as a whole.
Wit, snark and self growth.
Sadie. Even the best brains can be emotionally hostage in a bad relationship. The key is getting free...with well played vengeance.
Yes and I love her. I wish she would read my book for an audio version.
Yes, and If sleep weren't necessary to muddle through the rest of my life I would have.
It falls in the same line as the Magic bites series. Plausible with the amount of "Facts" they lay out. Always entertaining.
I really like Ms. Raudman but you can tell who she is pulling for as the romantic lead with the voices she gives the men.
Not really but it did make me cringe which was intended so I call that a win.
I love this author/s and wish they could just pluck the story fully formed from their brains so we can get them faster. I'm just greedy like that.
Yes! this was great for the true P &P adult fan!
The blend of my favorite lines of P & P with a different perspective. Really well done.
He did great with all of them. Elisabeth was not simpering and Darcy was perfect.
Now you know why... Darcy explained.
I liked the story and thought it was original BUT Oy! with the name repetition. I swear half the book is repeating Sam and Caine. The plot was good I just wish the author did not try and up the word count with redundant fluff.
This was my first book by this author.
The narration was fine. It did not detract and I liked the happy puppy sound of Caine's persona.
This was worth half the listening time. Like I said if you take out the name echo this would be a fine book.
I think this author really has something original with the plot. The story was interesting enough. I cannot believe no one mentioned the repetitive calling of names as an issue prior to publishing. This might be one of those times when advice should have been heeded. If you are trucking around your life and want to listen to chatter with a good plot this book is fine. I had to stop listening for a few days to get past being annoyed by the name issue before I could finish it. Because I liked the concept I will give this author another shot. But I hope the same issues don't apply. Longer does not necessarily mean better however creativity can overcome sometimes.
Sure the narrator did a great job and the story was well written.
There were a couple of times when I had to stop listening because I was so invested in the characters I could not make it through the cringe worthy moments. I think that is a sign of a great listen.
I have not listened to her before that I know of but she was completely involved in the characters. She does like a good crescendo.
I did. (with the exception of life/ cringe breaks.
Please don't pay attention to the naysayers. This was a really good listen and I would hate for you to miss out because someone else was in a bad mood when they heard the book. Enjoy.
In this book she takes the show on the road which always spices up her reads, not that they need it. By confining them to the road you get to see the relationship develop.
The beauty of these books is you love all the characters you are supposed to and not the ones you aren't.
Winning a fight due to s shellfish allergy was pretty original.
I almost did.
Please Molly, if you read this, keep them coming. I am a huge fan!
Yes, because Molly Harper is one of the most entertaining authors around and her pairing with Amanda Ronconi is magic.
Not just one
Love her portrayal of all the characters
Classic wit and charm.
Jane Jamison if you know her work the character carries over.
LOVE her. She is fantastic and did the odd accents the characters call for.
I love Molly Harper. She is awesome! I would have done five out of five it just was missing a little something. But it was such a little something I would still whole heartedly recommend!
