Stephen Mitchell, the renowned translator of the Tao Te Ching, selected excerpts from that ancient text as a stimulus for Byron Katie to talk about the most essential issues that face us all: life and death, good and evil, love, work, and fulfillment. The result is an audiobook that allows the timeless insights of the Tao Te Ching to resonate anew for us today, while offering a vivid and illuminating glimpse into the life of someone who lives what Lao-tzu wrote more than 2,500 years ago.

Out of nowhere, like a fresh breeze in a marketplace crowded with advice on what to believe, comes Byron Katie and what she calls "The Work". In the midst of a normal life, Katie became increasingly depressed. Then one morning, she woke up in a state of absolute joy, filled with the realization of how her own suffering had ended. On The Ultimate Dimension, you are invited to sit beside Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh for an advanced dharma retreat that opens the doorway to this sublime experience of being.

"A repeat of his other books"
    Overall

He is such a beautiful loving man, and so much understanding and love comes out of his words, yet I found it just like a repeat of his other books, there was nothing new that he had said, so I did not get anything out of the book. I was kind of disappointed in the cost vs. the fact it was repeated knowledge, and he is also hard to understand at times, I have to turn my volume up all the way just to hear him. I am sure someone else might need to hear his words so don't pass it up just because I feel this way. If you have read his other books you will understand what I am talking about.

She has a way of power in her words because of the deep understanding, she knows what the truth is. She has a gifted insight we can have if we practice her understanding.

Teresa of Avila's Interior Castle is one of the most celebrated books ever written by a mystic on abiding in union with Christ. Writing in obedience to the requests of two of her superiors, the humble 16th century Spanish sister protests "...for the love of God, let me get on with my spinning and go to choir...like the other sisters...I am not meant for writing; I have neither the health nor the wits for it."

    Overall

It is as if a beautiful peaceful and loving grandma is being ever so truthful and so humble in her writing, you can't help but listen and know she is speaking from a power higher than us. She is not once trying to think she knows anything, but knows the truths from God. Her insights get a little bit too complicated, but at the same time soothing to the soul.

Brilliant, complicated, scientific yet somehow the true self while listening has an understanding even if the mind fully cant seem to comprehend it. I learned so much and am so thankful for being given the ears and eyes to hear and see the unseen in understanding. I need to listen again, This is one of those books you have to listen to a couple of times, and I usually never listen to a book a second time. Wonderful, I am thankful
