I enjoyed this audible book very much and despite the grating voice of Tom Brokaw, he came out with what turned out to be a wonderful and touching book. A great read to and from work.
I loved every bit of this book. I believe listening to it on audio enhanced the story. I went into the story thinking it was true, and came out wanting it to be true. It was well narrated and a truly great, great story. It had everything I look for in a book. It was very well rounded and lacked nothing. I recommend it to everyone.
It was a little hard to jump into this book because I had already had previous Chinese courses, the pronunciation and order of teaching sentences made it a little bit harder for my beginning/intermediate stage. I recommend this to those who are starting out for the first time with no prior Chinese language experience, or to those who are in the advanced learning stages as a review, this is an excellent learning tool.
I have always been a fan of Margaret Cho and this was another of her great works. I recommend it to anyone with a sense of humor.
We listened to this book on our drive down the west coast. Very informative. I enjoyed every minute of this book. I would recommend this book to anyone.
I have listened to many audible books before this and wasn't impressed with the narrator's voice, it droned on and took away from the story. Also a good point to make is that, like a couple of Jordan's previous books where he spends half the book recounting the previous book, he has devoted this entire book to the characters from before the first book...eight books later. He really needs to stay on track; it was hard to stay focused on the book. I listened to it while exercising and driving to and from work. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has already read or heard his previous books from this Wheel of Time series. The content does not give you anything new. Wait until the next comes out.
