Great Fun ! Love the fact the heroine is lauded for her bodacious-ness instead of being "rail-thin"...
But also a fun story. Part animal story, part mystery, part lusty romance.
Her tone of voice was condescending and preachy.
Irritation. Really - you didn't know 90% of these lessons before Paris? Makes me wonder if the author EVER looked outside herself - are maybe she was a "late bloomer" and hasn't left "being the center of the Universe" yet....
Rolicking Good Story ! Love the connections between this and the Parasol Protectorate series - while in the same universe - did not over-rely on already told stories.
Finishing School for Spies.
I would have preferred Emily Gray but Moira did a very fine job.
Nice world building; Enjoyed the development of characters and races
Did a multitude of voices very well - did not have that "shreeek" tone to her voice
I have to give that a 50/50. I was anxious to read this series as the Clockwork Angel and Clockwork Prince were excelled. But this is VERY teenage - and that is who it is aimed at. I guess I was expecting more like the Clockwork series which has much more appeal to adult readers.
Can hardly wait until the Clockwork Princess comes out. Don't know if I will read more of the mortal instruments.
Would prefer not too. Her narration is very monotone to me.
Rolicking good mystery story with enough action balanced with story to keep the story fresh and interesting
I thought Heather Lind - unfortunately - I dreaded every time she began to narrate. I don't like to
Engaging and well written - a fun ride for all who love a good story.
