The concept was good but it seemed to drag on at times. The lead character is a little unbelievable to have such a wise cracking billionaire.

Its a good story and I enjoyed listening to it. I felt the narrator did a good job and the voice seemed to fit with the story so I think they did a good job of casting.

I could not help but think of several other movies and books as I progressed through this story. I haven't taken the time to think through which came first so its possible the other stories technically remind me of this one or vice-verse. But while progressing through this story I cannot help but think of story lines from Star Wars, Harry Potter, and others.

Its somewhat annoying that they opted to change narrators for this book. The male voice is just odd to have a foreign accent overall. It just doesn't seem to fit. Its also annoying that the narrators (both male and female) pronounce things differently so it takes a while to figure out what they refer to at times. For instance how they pronounce Stele in comparison to the narrator from Books 1-3 is much different. Also the difference in pronouncing Maryse. It just gets annoying after a while.

Perhaps I've missed something but I also find it odd that Maia is unaware of the situation with Simon. As a werewolf she has better than normal smell so she would be able to detect what is going on.

But overall the book is very much what you would expect from this series and I found it enjoyable. Not as enjoyable as the first 3 books but still worth your time I think.

The book was a slow start but it picks up steam. The story is pretty good but I think it lacked some background information. Seems to me to elude to things and it makes me feel like I should've known some information so I often hit rewind thinking I missed something but I hadn't. Some of the narrator's voices get annoying. I think he had roughly 6 character voices and 2 of them annoyed me greatly.
