    Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book. The book is about three sisters who lose their father in a carriage accident after he supposedly runs away with money he had stolen from the investors in his company. His eldest is certain her father is framed and sets out to clear his name. Her first stop is at her father's partner house where she accepts a job as a housekeeper. He immediately shows interest in her and tries to pursue her. His marriage is based on hatred but she will not divorce him. She also feels the strong attraction but tries not to fall for his charm. However, she gets drunk one night and they have what I’d call the book’s hottest short intimacy scenes.

This was my first book by Mariana Zapata and my my was it funny. I found myself bursting into out loud laughter throughout the book and will have to listen to it again just to remember some of the great lines she uses in this book. Listen to this book with a pen and paper because you really don't want to miss her clever come backs and smart replies. The story was good too but the clever writing takes the cake.

When I read the Reapers MC books I became completely hooked on MC books. The series were my first experience with the MC books and they were an eye opener for me. Those book really show you the culture of MCs which I admit I was and somewhat still am quite ignorant about. The love story was excellent too in those books. So when I saw this book with good reviews I jumped on it. I enjoyed this book but the love stories are completely predictable with hardly any resistance or difficulties in their relationship before it went from hello to you are mine. Except until the very end, the twists were non existent really. There is almost no real discussion about the club in this story either so if you are not familiar with the clubs, this book will not be informative enough for that. However, that is not the intent of a romance novel and i get that. I just feel it would have added a lot more to the story had it included some more about the club life. But I still did enjoy the story, I am just not sure if I would like to purchase the next ones coming out.

This was my first paranormal with shifting into anything but a wolf. I purchased this book on sale and so my expectations was low, but I was pleasantly surprised to find how on the edge of my seat and imaginative this book was. There are some scenes that bothered me but that's just because of my delicate sensibilities I believe and without it the book would not have have that air of reality to it. Nothing in life is perfect as we wish to see so those scenes just made the book that much more believable. I liked it a lot.

All those 5 stars for this book and this narrator? Seriously? To begin with Elizabeth Powers is awful! The funny pauses and the slowness of her delivery was enough for me to jump off a cliff to save myself from the frustration. The story was soooo weak and simple that I could imagine my 13 year old writing it. A billionaire who is so in love with his assistant that he never slept with anyone else in the four years she worked for him when all they did was battle at work and that's it? Oh yes and to add to it, the matter of him murdering someone was so a okay by the heroine that it was an obvious OF COURSE YOU DID THE RIGHT THING. Yyyyyyah. Veeeeery believable. Just a ridiculous story, poorly written and with unbelievable characters. I say don't waist your credit or time. Move on to something better.

Finally. A book where characters are mature and don't self doubt or go on with their contradicting mind babble. I really enjoyed reading this book. The story was very well balanced and believable. I also loved that she fell in love with his character and not looks. So tired of romance books that are solely based on looks. Great job by Mary Balogh, fun read, good narration.

Olivia Kiskey needs a change. She’s been working at the same Nodaway Falls, New York, waffle house since she was a teenager; not a lot of upward mobility there. She’s been in love with Tobias, the cook, for the last four years; he's never made a move. Intent on shaking things up, Olivia puts her house on the market, buys a one-way ticket to Europe, and announces her plans to her friends - but then she meets Davina Granville, a strange and mystical Southern woman....

    Story

There was soooo much I did not like about this book I don't know where to start. 1) Terrible voice for the hero by J Mack 2) The story was plain old ridiculous 3) The characters fell back in love as quickly as they broke up...made zero sense how anyone can just jump into this kind of love again without any trust issues or resentment 4) The story had ZERO draw. There was motivation as the reader that enticed me to want to know what happened next and as quickly as possible. The only motivation to finish the book faster was to shorten the torture of sitting through a book that conveys absolutely nothing. no excitement was built in the story and it is probably the most blah I have felt after reading a romance. Ridiculous book. Don't waist your time on this one. The only good thing about this book was the narration parts by Eric Michael Summerer since J Mack completely ruined the male voice making the hero sound like a teenage boy who has a sock stuck in his throat. No not sexy at all.

There's no place like home... For teacher Jenna McKnight, nothing spells "heartbreak" like finding her husband with somebody else--in her bed. It's clearly time to reinvent herself. A new body, a new city, and a new job later, she's done just that. The beautiful Auckland villa isn't really her home, though. Finn Douglas and his kids aren't really her family, however much she wishes they were. And playing house can be a dangerous game. Rugby star Finn Douglas is just looking for a temporary nanny and housekeeper. Not a girlfriend, and definitely not a wife. He can't resist Jenna's cooking, it's true. Who knew he'd have so much trouble resisting her? He wants to do what's right for his kids. But waiting is so hard... Note: This romance, like New Zealand, contains a bit of steam. If that isn't your cuppa, maybe visit some other country... er, audiobook.

It took till chapter 22 for their first kiss? I'd say this was such a sssssllllllooooowwww starting romance I doubted there would ever be one. I purchased book 2 on sale and LOVED it so much I purchased the next in the row. I also thought Claire Booking did a great job narrating the story and so I was sold on the series and figured this one will be as entertaining and funny as the second book. But it was not. Not as funny and not as cleverly written as the second book but also the romance took it's sweet time to develop. So overall I liked it but did not LOVE it.

Anna Moder has just witnessed a shooting, seen her car pulverized, and rescued a wounded stranger - only to discover he's really a werewolf. And by her recent standards, things are actually looking up. Lycanthropes don't faze Anna. Doctoring a wolf pack outside Grundy, Alaska, is the closest thing to home life she's known in years. But hitching a ride to Anchorage with long-absent pack member Caleb Graham - that's a risk. Part of her itches to whack his nose with a newspaper. The rest is trying unsuccessfully to keep her own paws off every delicious inch of him.

    Story

I did enjoy this book but my gauge for a 5 star book is if I have to finish a book the day I start it because I just can't wait. Perhaps one of the major issues I had with this book was that Anna was a bit immature in her way of thinking and logic. She ran away from a pack of werewolves she was working for and knew for sure they cared for her and had her best interest in mind because she did not want to bring anything bad down on the group? huh? Is she completely mad? Would it not have made sense to tell the alpha her issues and let the pack decide if they wanted to help her instead of working in unsafe places where others could have hurt her? And then to run from Caleb too? That logic was a bit immature and stupid as well. I guess I found it frustrating to have a storyline based on logic saved for a 17 year old and not a mature woman. Other than that I mostly liked the story again BUT the story just did not have that draw for me.

Kate Lamonica isn't Koti James' type. Too small. Too dark. And heaps too much work. So it's an easy bet that he can be her friend for six weeks without making a move on her, no matter what his mates would have said. Kate can't believe she's made the bet at all. New Zealand had seemed like the perfect escape from the stalker who'd threatened first her peace of mind and then her life. She certainly doesn't need any more trouble. Why on earth has she agreed to spend time with a Maori rugby player who's far too handsome and charming for his own good - and knows it?

I loved almost everything about this book. Great story, fantastic lessons in NZ's culture, clever writing and most of all one of the most engaging narrations. A couple of parts I felt the history lectures went on a bit too long but thankfully those scenes were few and far in between, but the rest was Yummy-Licious. The challenge throughout the relationship was just enough to keep the romance hot. You won't go wrong with this book.
