These Stories have appeared in several anthologies (green hills of earth and revolt in 2100). The Radio Dramas are the Best way to get the feeling of Heinlein's short works. The story of "the Green Hills of Earth" and "Requiem" are quite touching. I would recommend any of Heinlein's radio Dramas to anyone Young or Old. A great ride into the Grand Master's Mind.
John Stossel may or may not be your favorite TV personality but this book is thought provoking. The book is written around a simple formula "common sense says...." but "experience has told me".
After "Killing Lincoln" the followup of "Killing Kennedy" (the end of Camelot) was just as engrossing. Even people who did not live through this time in American history (I did) will find this book not only complete but festinating and addictive.
Yes this is Science fiction but it is also a discussion of the points of slavery and social designs.
it is also a commentary on corporate politics.
This was one of Hienlein's Scribners Junvinal's well read pioneering story.
Highly recommended for young teens and any Heinlien fan.
It should be noted that other Heinlein books continue this story. the rolling Stones, the cat who walks through walls. I have heard other narrators of this book and the sudo rus accent in this reading was distracting however it was well done in the othercharterization especially Mike's voice!
Must listen for RAH fans
This is the only Fantasy the Heinlein wrote as a novel and even in this one there is an element of Sci-Fi. A Fun typical retrieve the object for the princess plot with a Hienlein twist.
The sory in this book besides a homage to the authors of the golden age of SF & F is the ultimate multiverse story. The two following novels form RAH "The cat who walks through walls" which also has the prerequisite of "The Moon is a harsh mistress" the novel "to sail beyond the sunset" is also based on the result of this book. A must listen for Hienlien fans.
The point of this book is to show how those who have worked with Obama think of him and place the Obama administration in context of experience needed to do the job of President of United States. Listen and form your own opinion of the value of the book. Great Listen.
I originally read this in the 1970s and loved it the Audio version loses nothing. I can not recommend for young teen readers (Adult Content) but it is real hard science fiction (the removal of the science makes the story collapse) great performance and creates the excitement I originally felt when I read the book in the 70s..
The story is typical fun Cussler but it feels like major parts are missing in this abridged version. I went and bought the hardcover and I was right the abridgment is not the best and not up to the standards of other abridgments I have heard in the past (blue gold) here on Audible. Fair listen.
