This is a good production. The reader is able to distinguish characters well. The story is a disturbing account of the US occupation of Iraq. The book keeps good time.
This is a beautiful and moving story. It is heart wrenching.
I wanted it to end.
I highly recommend it.
This book is a standard - a real classic. I listened to it once. Then I played it for my sons and listened to it again. It's good.
It's up there. I will probably listen to it again someday.
The hand through the glass windows
I have not - but this is a good one.
Not a single one of them - they're stinkin' crazy
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and production.
My wife asked me to download this book. (You must believe me.) I tried to listen to it. I got up to the part where they start getting down to business. The conversations are agonizingly dull. The plot develops so slowly that the story becomes cliche 1/4 through the book. I didn't finish the book.
This is a light book. I could zone out and still catch the gist of it. I thought it was going to be annoying but it actually provided some comic relief in my days. Light and easy.
The narration and explanations are helpful. I have always struggled through Shakespearean plays.
This production also comes with a performance that is uninterrupted. Start on Chapter 6 of the audio book for it.
This book is well written and the narrator does a good job. I have listened to a biography of John Adams, which I also enjoyed. This work helps to describe the pace and volatility of the American Revolution. The accounts of his gardens, library, art collections, written word, sportsmanship, contradictions, humanity, slave holding, desires, leadership, etc, etc, etc, are more than I expected.
I would recommend this audiobook to a friend. The beginning is captivating. The historical content is grasping. The studies of demographics, socio-graphics, map making, and science are interesting.
My favorite characters are the people living in these Victorian times. I enjoyed the insight of the daily life.
He seems to have a dry sense of humor that creeps in every once in a while.
I did want to listen to it all in one sitting but it's too long.
diarrhea... cha cha cha... diarrhea
I listened to this book after a recommendation. It talks about ideas that I have had throughout my life. This would have been a good book for me to read 15 years ago. It's worth checking out.
