Dexter Morgan is not your average serial killer. He enjoys his day job as a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Police Department... but he lives for his nighttime hobby of hunting other killers. Dexter is therefore not pleased to discover that someone is shadowing him, observing him, and copying his methods. Dexter is not one to tolerate displeasure... in fact, he has a knack for extricating himself from trouble in his own pleasurable way.

If you loved the previous stories you will love this one also! My only complaint is that I'd like Jeff Lindsay to stop reading his own books. Yes, he does fine but the guy that used to do them was better. You'd think that after becoming rich he'd spread the wealth around and let a professional present his story.

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten. Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning-author John Green’s most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

Don't excuse yourself from reading this just because you aren't a young adult, or don't know someone who is dying or because you don't want a book which may cause you to tear up. While those are oft times good reasons for me to avoid a book, they don't apply here. You need to read this book because it is entertaining. You deserve that. You also deserve the opportunity to think about how you want to approach your life's end and not in a morbid kind of way. I found this book to be mostly entertaining, clearly honest, touching, thoughtful, loving and transcending. Life can be so many things and there is a lot of life in this book to be thought about. I'll still be thinking about the fault in my stars while I return to my usual entertainment, books that don't have very much reality, and not near as much heart.

I listened to this book, almost from start to finish, without break. I've never actually read a Zombie book before but I'm pretty sure this is the best one written anyway. I'm not saying I think everything in the book was the most logical or scientific but it was very entertaining. It is written in journal fashion and always telling the time he starts writing (24 hour clock) is a very minor annoyance. If that bothers you subtract twelve... It does end suddenly but it had to end sometime and that was a pretty good place to stop. I'd read another Bourne book and I love Jay Snyder's voice. I feel really good about this dail deal purchase but would love it even if I had paid full price.

San Francisco judge Ramsey Hunt, longtime friend to FBI agents Lacey Sherlock and Dillon Savich, begins the murder trial of Clive and Cindy Cahill only to have federal prosecutor Mickey O’Rourke, known for his relentless, aggressive style, suddenly turn tentative and distracted. Hunt suspects that something is very wrong — and then O’Rourke goes missing, and Judge Hunt gets shot in the back.

First the terrible narration was a real irritant. Either one of the narrators would have been better than the two of them together. It was irrational how they switched back and forth with all the he said/she said... nuts! The child voices were especially over the top ridiculous. I love listening to books but go with the print version of this for sure.

Second, I had trouble following the characters. I don't know the series so I didn't know who was who and Coulter switches between the first and last names so much it was really difficult for me to keep track. I find it easier to keep track of multiple characters in print but maybe that's just me.

Third, you really have to suspend disbelief in that the characters are shot/injured and hop up and keep going. Only the first guy shot is treated like it was a serious thing. I'm okay with that but some people insist on more reality and if that's you then you won't be happy with this.

If you are already a fan of this series then nothing on earth will stop you from reading this but I strongly suggest you go for the print. This isn't really my favorite genre but I'd read another from this series with a different narrator.

Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Why we think it’s a great listen: It’s easy to say that when it comes to sci-fi you either love it or you hate it. But with Ender’s Game, it seems to be you either love it or you love it.... The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Enter Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the result of decades of genetic experimentation.

I hurried to listen to Ender's Game so I could finish it before I watched the movie. That was a mistake because it is worth slowing down and digesting. I read this book when it first came out but didn't remember a lot of the story so it was a joy to revisit. The only thing I didn't love was having multiple readers. I don't want people acting, just one talented reader. Don't forget to listen to OSC talk about the story and how it was made into a movie at the end.

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me—well, actually, my true love, Darcy O’Mara, is spending a feliz navidad tramping around South America. Meanwhile, Mummy is holed up in a tiny village called Tiddleton-under-Lovey with that droll Noel Coward! And I’m snowed in at Castle Rannoch with my bumbling brother, Binky, and sourpuss sister-in-law, Fig.

Mayhem. You won't find this story on television. Hollywood gets more than it bargained for when television's hottest star arrives at the Miami Police Department and develops an intense, professional interest in a camera-shy blood spatter analyst named Dexter Morgan. Mega-star Robert Chase is famous for losing himself in his characters. When he and a group of actors descend on the Miami Police Department for "research", Chase becomes fixated on Dexter Morgan, the blood spatter analyst with a sweet tooth for doughnuts and a seemingly average life.

I always figured Dexter would die. I'm okay with that. My dream is that he be killed by a serial killer who only kills serial killers... I've been entertained by previous story lines and was ready for Dex to go out with a bang. A pop? No, it's just a whimper.. It's like the author had nothing to say and felt something had to happen anyway. The last 30 minutes may be the worst Lindsay has ever written. There is no way a Dexter fan is going to skip this book but I can't imagine them not being disapointed. Also let me say that I miss the original narrator (Nick Landry?). It's very Stephen King to say I need control over every aspect of my story but I didn't like the change at all. Lastly, the way Lindsay read the chapter headings in his super low voice sounded like farce to me. Insulting even. Dexter fans deserve better. Will there be another book to fix and finalize?

For Lieutenant Eve Dallas of the NYPSD, the job is a useful reminder of what she has to be grateful for this season. Hosting Roarke's big Irish family for the holiday may be challenging, but it’s a joyful improvement on her own dark childhood. Other couples aren’t as lucky as Eve and Roarke. The Reinholds, for example, are lying on the floor of their Downing Street apartment, stabbed and bludgeoned almost beyond recognition. Those who knew them are stunned - and even more heartbroken by the overwhelming evidence that they were murdered by their own son.

I love serial books. I love that I follow along as the characters and the world are developed. I love that I saw Mavis from street grifter to cop friend to rock star to wife to mother. More than serials I love mysteries. When I can get both then it's perfect. I don't love explicit sex scenes. Just leave that to my imagination... I don't love hearing about rape--it's dispicable, unforgiveable and the opposite of entertaining. I like, however, that it's the basis for the Eve Dallas character, showing how she deals with it and that she lives with it and that it is the basis for her wanting to protect, defend and seek justice. I've read all the Eve Dallas books and this is the one that makes me wish I had never started. There is no mystery in hunting down a madman. There is no entertainment in hearing, step by step, gleeful torture and murder. If I could clear this from my brain as easily as brushing a bad taste from my mouth I certainly would!
