A narrator reading about geography should realise that latitude and longitude are measured in degrees and minutes - not degrees and feet. This and a few other strange pronunciations introduce a jarring note into an otherwise well read book.
The characterisation of the voices in this story is excellent. There must be over twenty people in the book and you can always tell who is speaking. A shame there is no more Dickens with this narrator.
This is a great story and great poetry, and by and large well read, but after a while I find some of the pronunciation annoying. Like Aeneas I can only stand so many storm torsed seas. Well, that's my orfering for what it's worth.
