"Fun, quirky listen"
We all know a significant part of how well you enjoy a book is how well the narrator performs it and Ray Porter did a great job. Beyond that, the story had enough twists and turns to keep it fun. Sometimes you could anticipate where the story was going, but it happened in such a way that you were happy to see you were reading the characters right. Definitely built some great tension at the end. Will look for more by the same author and narrator.
"Interesting info - stilted narrator"
I'm sure the author is very knowledgeable about the subject of the book, which helped to overcome how poorly the book was read. The narrator was so stiff in his reading that parts that were meant to be humorous came across as dry, mechanical and totally un-engaging. Still, I listened through to the end as I love insight into how to better read people.
"Enjoyable Listen"
I enjoyed the book and the back and forth messages. The narrators did a good job of conveying emotions that had me laughing and even a shedding a few tears. Good light listen.
"Outstanding!"
Truly enjoyed this book. Great narrators, great story line. Would recommend to all.
"Overall - very engaging"
Interesting book and the narrator was good. Enjoyed the whole thing until the completely unnecessary twist at the end that unfortunately plays through my mind more than the interesting story line leading up to it. I would still recommend the listen, but wish the author had ended the story just a bit sooner than he did.
"Disappointed"
Didn't even listen to the whole thing because the back and forth between and male and female readers, each doing multiple voices including each others, was so distracting and poorly done. Especially didn't like the woman's voice when she was trying to sound like different women's characters. The effect of one was like listening to an absurd cartoon character, which was both annoying and distracting from the story line. The premise of the story could have been interesting, but the voices lost me too early to ever know.
