After a slow summer of chasing low-level skips for her cousin Vinnie's bail bonds agency, Stephanie Plum finally lands an assignment that could put her checkbook back in the black. Geoffrey Cubbin, facing trial for embezzling millions from Trenton's premier assisted-living facility, has mysteriously vanished from the hospital after an emergency appendectomy. Now it's on Stephanie to track down the con man. Unfortunately, Cubbin has disappeared without a trace, a witness, or his money-hungry wife. Rumors are stirring that he must have had help with the daring escape...or that maybe he never made it out of his room alive.

What did you love best about The Finisher?

GREAT story line. Wonderful characters. . . loved them all! The narrator is wonderful. I loved this book. I am a huge fan of Baldacci and have been from the beginning. Only recently I have also gotten into Teen Fiction because it is about the only clean thing out there. I was pleased that as usual-- he hit it out of the park. If you don't like teen fiction or find it beneath you--this is not the book for you. Baldacci is an excellent author and of course it is not like his other books. But it is outstanding for its genre. Every bit as good as anything I've read by Orson Scott Card. I hope he continues and doesn't get discouraged by the comments of his loyal fans of his mystery genre.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Finisher?

The dueling scenes where Vega wins by sheer determination and being smarter than her opponent .

What does Nicola Barber bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Love her voice. I enjoy her series of Molly Brown. However, at first I was afraid she was going to make every man sound like an idiot like she does in that series. But she did a better job as she went on.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Nah. It was just fun and kept me going and wanting more.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? Fans of the Lunar Chronicles know Queen Levana as a ruler who uses her "glamour" to gain power. But long before she crossed paths with Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress, Levana lived a very different story - a story that has never been told - until now. Marissa Meyer spins yet another unforgettable tale about love and war, deceit and death.

I didn't think I would enjoy an entire story told from the dark side, but it explained so much!! Can't hardly wait for Winter!!! Why can't authors as good as this write a 20 book collection . Instead of only 5??!! Best story I've read in years!!! Maybe ever!

Amelia Peabody embarks on her first Egyptian adventure armed with unshakable self-confidence, a journal for her thoughts, and, of course, a sturdy umbrella. On her way, she rescues Evelyn Barton-Forbes, who has been "ruined" and abandoned on the streets of Rome by her lover. With a typical disregard for convention, Amelia promptly hires her fellow countrywoman as a companion and takes her to Cairo, where strange visitations and a botched kidnapping convince Amelia that there is a plot afoot to harm Evelyn.

If you could sum up Crocodile on the Sandbank in three words, what would they be?

I remember reading one of her books 20 years ago. Now I don't understand why I didn't read more! This was a delightful book. I loved each character! The story was a winner too! No swearing. No sex. I even liked the reader. . . though I am excited to listen to the next gal who has rave reviews. This one did not sound like a 32 year old woman. She sounded like a 62 year old woman. I'm glad I have a whole series to go through now!!

Twenty years ago, 16-year-old Tara Martin disappeared from a small town in the heart of England. Now, her sudden return and the mind-bending tale of where she’s been will challenge our very perception of the truth. For 20 years after Tara Martin disappeared, her parents and her brother, Peter, lived in denial of the grim fact that she was gone for good. Then suddenly on Christmas Day, the doorbell rings at her parents’ home, and there, dishevelled and slightly peculiar looking, Tara stands. It’s a miracle, but alarm bells are ringing for Peter. Tara’s story just does not add up.

Would you try another book from Graham Joyce and/or John Lee?

    never

What was most disappointing about Graham Joyce’s story?

It was slow moving. I did not appreciate the cursing. I don't see any reason to include the Lord's name taken in vein. ever. If you are in to deep characterization this is the book for you. I didn't like any of them though. I started skipping chapters and listening in on the next to see if I had missed anything. I never did, so I gave up.

A high-profile attorney in the middle of a leave of absence following a personal tragedy is drawn back into the legal arena amidst a media firestorm when he agrees to represent a popular rap artist accused of brutally murdering his pop star girlfriend. With its powerful voice, pause-resisting tension, and strong cast of characters, Adam Mitzner’s novels are reminiscent of such best-selling authors as Scott Turow and John Grisham.

What did you like best about A Case of Redemption? What did you like least?

Story was entertaining. Not predictable. But I hate the steriotypical african-american who uses the "F" bomb as a noun, verb and over used adjective. He was not a main character showing up all the time , so I plowed through. This is another." NOT for the soccer mom" book.

Would you be willing to try another book from Adam Mitzner? Why or why not?

Probably not. Not in to legal thriillers. I'll stick to Grisham who doesnt use foul language though.

Would you be willing to try another one of Kevin T. Collins’s performances?

Only if I have to. I realize Scott Brick cant read them all...

Did A Case of Redemption inspire you to do anything?

Like what???? Only check out my authors better

  • The Company: A Novel of the CIA

"If Robert Littell didn't invent the American spy novel," says Tom Clancy, "he should have." In this spectacular Cold-War-as-Alice-in-Wonderland epic, Littell, "the American le Carre," takes us down the rabbit hole and into the labyrinthine world of espionage that has been the CIA for the last half-century. "Ostensibly a single novel, The Company can also be listened to as an anthology of cracking good spy stories," says (Publishers Weekly).

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

It was a good story--amazingly good; BUT the language was terrible. The "F" word was used way too much for my taste. You would not want kids in the car when listening to this. I really hated that part. I am the mom-taxi service and I started listening to audio books in the car because I spend so much time there. But this one was something the kids could not ignore. I bought it because of the story and the length of time it takes to read/listen. I didn't want it to end too fast like Patterson's books do. but it is taking me forever to get through it just because I have to turn it off as soon as anyone else gets into the car. It really isn't worth it. I wish they would invent "Clear Play" for audiobooks and then it would be a perfect book in everyway!!

Would you be willing to try another book from Robert Littell? Why or why not?

Probably not because of his language. I LOVE Baldacci for that very reason. He tells a great story and not so much bad language and not so much steamy sex.

Which character – as performed by Scott Brick – was your favorite?

any. He made the characters come alive. Scott Brick is excellent!!!!

Could you see The Company being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

    Yes. Make it PG-13 though
