Where does While My Sister Sleeps rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I listen to lots of audiobooks so this book isn't even near the top of the list but probably in the top half.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The family dynamics during a tragedy were interesting. Having lost a child myself, I found the book unrealistic. The reality of what this family was going through would have been much more horrific than is portrayed in this book. It was definitely fiction.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Narration was ok. Not great but not bad.

Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update," before "Sarah Palin," Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told....

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! It was funny, well read, entertaining. Made me like Tina Fey so much.

What about Tina Fey’s performance did you like?

I normally don't like for authors to read their own books but this was different. I think it was better because Tina read her own work in her own funny, comedic way.

    Any additional comments?

I read 52 books last year and this was one of my very favorites.

On a family visit to the city, Mom is right behind her husband when the train pulls out of Seoul Station without her, and she is lost, possibly forever. As her children argue over how to find her, they each recall their lives with her. Have they lived up to her expectations? Was she happy? Through the piercing voices of daughter, son, and husband, and through Mom’s own words in the novel’s shattering conclusion, we learn what happened that day, and explore an even deeper mystery—of motherhood itself.

Would you try another book from Kyung-Sook Shin and Chi-Young Kim (translator) and/or the narrators?

    Probably not

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Anti climactic. Really no resolution to the story.

What three words best describe the narrators’s performance?

there were actually multiple narrators which I liked rather than having one person try to do both genders.

Did Please Look After Mom inspire you to do anything?

    appreciate my mother more

Exploring marriage, fidelity, friendship, family, and mortality, The Late, Lamented Molly Marx is a funny, yet tender love story about a flawed but appealing woman forced - better late than never - to take responsibilities for the choices in her complicated life.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I liked it very much. The narrator was terrific.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Molly was my favorite character, of course. I also liked her friend Brie.

Which character – as performed by Tanya Eby Sirois – was your favorite?

She did a great job with all of them. She made me like Molly, Luke, Annabelle, Brie and Molly's parents. Made me not like Barry, Kitty, and especially Stephanie!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The moments when Molly watches Annabelle from above.

    Any additional comments?

Really liked this book. Hope to find other things by this narrator and this author.
