"Mayan topics and more"
I was looking for a book that talked about why and how is 2012 important to the Mayans. What you get is a little more from Mr. Gilbert. I think its hard for any of these authors on these type of topics to be just specific. Its a bad thing if thats what you're looking for. Its a good thing if you are just entering this world and those associated with it. Mr. Gilbert covers Atlantis, Ed Cayce and other topics. Also what I liked is that he threw in other authors and their books. His enthusiasm makes for a great read and listen. I could listen to this Audiobook again.
"Listen or read this just to say you have."
Zecharia Sitchin is a fascinating person whether right or wrong. This audiobook isn't a great listen but it seems almost mandatory if you are interested in Sumerian Text and humanities ties to the stars. It is very short and probably perfect for a drive to and from work but it is concise. It lays out the theory and little else. The topic is filled out by other authors a lot better but like I said this book is almost a mandatory start. I can't wait until more of his books are on Audible.
"good listen"
Erich Von Daniken like or loathe him is enthusiastic and believes what he is saying. The audiobook is easy to listen to and an example of just let the topic draw the listener in and let all the other theatrical ploys be very minimal. William Dufris injects Mr. Von Daniken's enthusiasm into the read and even when I didn't agree with everything I went away feeling.... like I listened to a motivational tape. The future seemed exciting! As with any review on topics like this it comes down to sticking to one topic long enough to get all of the information, theory and evidence out. Mr. Von Daniken doesn't do that but the foreword does "clean up" a lot of the past arguments and greatly adds to the book. Great read.
"hard to listen to"
This is an audiobook that is probably better to read than listen to. The oft mentioned "redacted" and then George K. Wilson's monotone (almost mechanical or computer program) voice makes for a hard listen. The information is right on and topical but like I said its better to read it.
"A book for everyone to read"
Powerful book. The humility to admit what part you played in hurting people, while explaining just why things were done makes for a good narrative.Even if your eyes are already open to injustices of the world this makes it that much more clearer. Anyone who is politically charged should read this and then reason on just what type of goverment they really have and want.
"try something else of his."
This is not a review of the material but more so the quality of the production.Robert Bauval is an interesting person and his topics are laid out and covered very well. Its just that this particular product is amateur at best. The sound quality could be a lot better considering Mr.Bauval has somewhat of an accent and I found myself straining to hear everything that he says. Whoever produced the interview then figures they are going to add Music to it at all the wrong parts. There is music even while Mr. Bauval is talking. Very bad choice. If you are interested in Robert Bauval do yourself the favor and don't bother with this Recording.
