I finished listening to this audiobook in just 3 days. Every spare moment was spent pressing play on my iphone. I just couldn't put it down.
It's hard to compare it, because like Vinnie says, it's part memoir, part fitness and diet, and part cancer and life lessons. Just a big, wonderful mix.
HIs accent is charming. I just love the way he talks.
It's not a quick fix health book, nor does it pretend to be. I think of it as a great starting point to learn more about his no sugar, no grain brand. After I finished the audiobook I jumped right into listening to his podcasts. Just as entertaining and informative.
Spiritual, growth, acceptance
I loved listening to Ms. Gilbert's encounters in Italy, and actually hearing the foreign language. I was shocked at how really well versed she is in Italian.
The pain in her voice, and the rare enjoyment in hearing the author read their own works. It's as if you're hearing a friend tell you about this trip they took overseas.
Definitely, but I also paused it throughout the day as it was nice to soak in each place versus rushing through the entire story. It requires thoughtfulness, and analogy.
