Would you try another book from Gena Showalter and/or Max Bellmore?

Yes, I am really enjoying the series. These couple of books I've read in the series have not been my favorite. Though Darkest Passion was the worse, Darkest Secret, while not bad just kind of seem to lose focus. The whole story seemed like the author was kind of brainstorming without a true direction.

Has The Darkest Secret turned you off from other books in this genre?

I really want to finish the series as I need to know what will happen to Paris, William and Torren. Just hope it gets back on track. Seems to have been rambling with Secrets.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Like the dialogue between Defeat and the Harpee.

Do you think The Darkest Secret needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Nah... I don't think I could take it.

Not too bad, like the storyline not sure how I feel about the characters .. Most times it is easy to tell the good from the bad. These don't seem to have much respect humans though their purpose is to protect mankind .. Eah... Not making much sense there, though again not a bad story.

Five years ago, Tuesday Eastwood's life collapsed and left her devastated. After an empty, nomadic existence, she's finally pieced her life back together in the small Oregon town of Hood River. Now Tuesday has everything sorted out. Just so long as men are kept for sex, and only sex.... Then she met him.

Haven't listened to contemporary Romance is a while. Usually no substance, morals or too young for me. Unless it is someone like Robyn Carr or Debbie Macomber. This was just plain good nice storyline. One of the first stories with two people whom are just trying to over come those "hit you hard" life hurdles. It was also interracial which was nice to read and have it not be a main conflict but just a hint understanding. This was just the right amount of drama without being overly done. Also nice to have a "grown-up" thinking Heroine. I don't like whinny characters... This was just the right touch.

Plagued by a war between magic and technology, Atlanta has never been so deadly. Good thing Kate Daniels is on the job. Kate Daniels may have quit the Order of Merciful Aid, but she's still knee-deep in paranormal problems. Or she would be if she could get someone to hire her. Starting her own business has been more challenging than she thought it would be - now that the Order is disparaging her good name, and many potential clients are afraid of getting on the bad side of the Beast Lord, who just happens to be Kate's mate.

I really enjoy this series and am addicted. Next book in series does not come out until Aug2015. Decided to reread the series.
This one not only provides more insight into Kate and Curran's relationship, but establishes new relationships with different magic bound people. It will be interesting to see how Julie evolves after this.
Also love that the supernatural community unites to fight a common enemy.

Still tormented by his recent captivity, Alpha Pack commander Nick Westfall isn't sure he's fit to lead - especially when he meets the one woman he can't claim without reliving the torture he endured at the hands of a rogue vampire. Vampire princess Calla Shaw has seen her own share of heartbreak, but she can tell that the wild attraction she and Nick feel for each other could turn into something significant - if only he'd let it. But Calla isn't about to give up on her mate without a fight.

I waited for Nick's story while it did feel a bit rushed and missed a few relationships.. i.e with he and is daughter and brother the story overall was good. Though his character did not seem as strong as the other books, previously Nick seemed a little more untouchable and badass, he was portrayed a little weaker. He just seemed to stumble and be disorganized.

The vampires are really weak and needy. They seemed not to be able to take care of anything on their own and need help from everyone. Not use to vamps being so human like with so many weaknesses that they are continuously getting beat up by human hunters.

Hammer aka "John" new personality seemed to come from no where. I liked his silent and deadly demeanor now he just seemed like chatty patty. Not sure I like his new life change.

Would you listen to Reaper's Stand again? Why?

Both the action packed excitement and romantic eroticism is so powerful one cannot help be drawn into the storyline

What other book might you compare Reaper's Stand to and why?

I have never read a storyline so different from the type of romance use to reading. Other romance has a definite Hero and Heroine. These books not so much, this is one of those books you find yourself trying to understand the bad boys and feeling a certain type of empathy for them.

What about Tatiana Sokolov and Sean Crisden ’s performance did you like?

Strong voices, liked hearing the story from both the man and woman's point of views

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Where you can truly find honor among thieves

    Any additional comments?

As a rational female not sure how anyone could fall in Love with a man who seem so anti-monogamous. These stories do not fit the mold of Happily Ever After. But there is something so a about a man who is so loyal and dedicate to you that he would put his life on the line for you and yoursIt is also nice to listen to a sex, erotic storyline about true 30 and 40 something adults.

Her one choice is to marry a groom with wealth, a title, and good looks, but Alasdair McGregor cruelly refuses to be the answer to her problems. In fact, she is forced by Dare's obstinacy to take extreme action: the faulty codpiece that leads to their marriage, the wedding that is literally a circus. Would you consider the audio edition of Noble Destiny to be better than the print version?

I love reading and listening to books.... there is nothing like using your imagination. I will say when listening to a book the image changes to match the voice of the narrator

What did you like best about this story?

The balance between humor and drama... I also love the way the hero understands the heroine. Though at a glance Charlotte seems superficial and self-center she has a deep loyalty with those she loves and is somewhat vulnerable, which Alasdair understands.

Which character – as performed by Alison Larkin – was your favorite?

    Lady Charlotte

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes

What would have made Undone by the Duke better?

Weak women annoy me... I would think strength in the heroines would have been better. I understand the main character has Agoraphobia but really she was scared of everything. Her husband, sex, outdoors, having attention on her. Really that is a little too much timidity.

What could Michelle Willingham have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Perhaps, her books are cheap so when I don't want to spend more than $5 on a book. Really this book should have been free. Hopefuly the other books in the series will be better

Would you be willing to try another one of Sue Pitkin’s performances?

not a bad narrator, just she should just pick up the pace. I put the speed on 1.25x

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

The Abduction... that was a little too predictable. So your are so much of an agoraphobic that you will sit in a closet while the house around you is on fire but you walk outside by yourself when a man supposedly kidnaps you sister. REALLY

You'd think that life would finally be dealing Mack Smith a kind hand. Living in London and with the opening of the new and improved city version of Clava Books mere days away, things appear to be settling down. Other than the terrible nightmares about dragons, that is. Or the fact that she's being constantly tailed by a string of mages, shifters, and faeries, all of whom are constantly demanding her attention. And that's without even bringing the temptation of Corrigan, Lord Alpha of the Brethren, into the equation.

If you could sum up Blood Politics in three words, what would they be?

    Intense, Enlighten and Engrossing

What did you like best about this story?

I am truly enjoying the different turns and surprises. Though things are getting somewhat predictable, the storyline remains solid. Mac takes a licking and keeps on ticketing. I felt the most emotional when Mac was task to think of the Dryad race as a whole rather than individuals....Sometimes you just can't save everyone.

Which character – as performed by Saskia Maarleveld – was your favorite?

Alex and Sakia's renditions of his quotes and slang......."Mack-attack, Dude"

    Any additional comments?

Mac continues to ignore her heritage to which is detrimental to the decisions she is making. Knowledge is power and the more she knows the better chance of a positive outcome of her choices.

This is a new author for me. I enjoy Sci-Fi and Fantasy romance genres and was looking desperately for a new series. I must say I was pleasantly surprise by this book. The storyline is a different take on the world of the Supernatural.

I truly enjoyed the "Coming to Enlightenment" tale created for Mac the main character. While her persona is somewhat young in her way of thinking, I can see the potential of growth as the series progresses.

Mac is an orphan in a pack of Shape Shifters, whom a first seems human but as you read through the story to get that she is not what she seems on the surface. Nor does Mac seem to really know what she is or is capable of doing with her power. She seems to have a bad temper and is a good butt kicker, even if she leaps before she looks. Hopeful she grows out of killing first and questioning later. I am looking forward to seeing if what type of relationship occurs with her and Corrigan the new "Lord Alpha" of the shifters.
