One of the books of the year. Landay does a fabulous job of getting inside the characters and allowing us to see their perspective, to understand how they feel, even if we don't agree with them. The plot is tightly woven, with lots of surprises and twists throughout. I was stunned by the ending and would highly recommend this book.
Solid story with good characters. This author and Andy Carpenter are the reason I own a dog.
This completely hooked me and made me buy the first book in the Star Force Series.
The real footage and actual people with firsthand accounts around the JFK assassination was absolutely fascinating. Highly recommended.
I read this book by Zuiker first. You really have to suspend belief in this book, but it was quite fun to listen to. I would recommend reading only one of these Murder on Mystery Island books.
I listened to the second book first and then went back to this book, which is the first in the series. I would recommend reading this book first and would not recommend reading the second book as the two books are quite simply more of the same and one is enough.
The minutiae of the music industry is portrayed in an engaging, humorous way by Mixerman. The characters and incidents could apply to any office situation. This was hilarious and entertaining. I liked the soundtrack to this book and found that it added a great deal to the listening experience (and afterwards wished that more books had a similar soundtrack).
The premise of this book is excellent, it really got me thinking and the free novella by this author got me completely hooked. The development of the story lost me completely. The love scenes made me feel ill. I was very disappointed that the central idea was lost in what became a predictable action book.
A fun listen. The main characters have a great partnership which is central to the book. There were some funny lines in it that made me laugh out loud. I would listen to more books by Koryta and think that this series has very good potential.
This was well-written. Being inside the killer's head was handled well and was interesting to read. Tony is a brilliant character who was portrayed really well in the TV series, but I love him even more in the book. I really didn't like the narrator.
This was the first J. D. Robb I have ever listened to or read and it would make me choose more by this author. The character of Dallas is well written and the story was good. Nothing amazing, but a good, solid thriller.
