I almost knew how it would end, but it was an enjoyable journey getting there.
Too many descriptions of erections. Tiresome. I tended to get lost in the jumping back and forth from childhood to adulthood and back again.
Mrs. Pollifax has stuck in a corner of my brain since I read The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax in the 60s. This was a fun listen.
Oh, my goodness! The suspense was great! This book caused me to seek more by Gregg Hurwitz, and read by Scott Brick.
I kept thinking I knew what was going to happen next, but could never be sure...especially the final outcome. Kept me listening--even kept me awake!
I hesitated buying Alas, Babylon, because of the science fiction description. But, how could I go wrong with Will Patton reading it? I really enjoyed the book and will listen to it again. The things I was afraid would happen didn't, usually....just like life! Good book!
I had just a little trouble keeping track of the charactors as the narrative switched from one's thoughts to the others, but throughly enjoyed the book.
I've left this one on my iPod to revisit. There is so much interesting, factual information in it. I'm still enjoying it, and notice that some of the information comes to mind when seeing current news.
This a book I'll give a rest and listen again at a later date. Liked it.
I should have read the reviews. Not a type of book I would buy if I picked it up and fanned through it. Total waste of money for me. I can't listen to it.
