I am a runner, and I love history and non-fiction. So, I thought I would really enjoy this book. But I never warmed up to it and gave up before the second file. The story-telling was too over the top and I missed a likable character to anchor the story.

A great primer for business leaders and future business leaders that are still contemplating the 21st century business world. Plenty of food for thought and pithy observations and one liners to take into the board room.

I got is audiobook after watching the movie, which I enjoyed. The author is a great narrator, who could read audiobooks for a living. It took me a while to warm up to her, she has several character flaws that are not portrayed (or understated) in the movie. I came to appreciate her honesty, salty tongue and humor.

I have always loved Sarah Vowell's dry wit. Enjoying that while learning important and riveting history makes for the type of experience that makes for a very enjoyable audiobook.

I love Susie Essman. She is the best part of my favorite TV show (Curb Your Enthusiasm). But, after I got through the first 2 chapters without so much as an audible chuckle or a forced smile, I had to give up on it.

This is such an interesting and timely story about something that has changed the world. But the writing is so gratuitous it interferes with hte storytelling. For example, the author's way of identifying two charaters as identical twins..."they were the product of a single fertilized ovum that divided in two like the pages of a book."

The story drags needlessly due to these metaphors and many repeated facts.

Still, worth the read.
