I liked this book. It had some good information. The breakdown was kind of jumbled...i think it would probably make more sense to read the hard copy as i felt like there were a lot of footnotes and charts that had to be explained. The narrator was kind of annoying as well, but I started to warm up to her as the book went on.
This book is absolutely hilarious. It's a light and easy listen. I was 5 months pregnant when I read this and it was so refreshing to read and relate to such an humorous and honest depiction of what us ladies have to go though.
This was the first book that I purchased on Audible and it is by far the best one that I have listened to. The narrators are fantastic. The story and character development kept me hooked. Do not hesitate to listen to this book!
The narrator was so completely distracting and annoying that I could not get past the first few chapters. Unfortunate, because I have heard a lot of great things about people who have read this book. I might try and pick it up and read a hard copy.
Let me start off by saying that I did enjoy listening to this book, however, I felt as though there was something off about the story the entire time. I was not a fan of the the way the characters "spoke"...to me the way they talked and the way the reader portrayed the voices did not seem realistic. I am not sure if this was simply because of the performance, or if it was because of the way it was written. I also felt the character development to be slightly shallow and because of this, I did not develop an emotional connection with the characters and relationships.
I fully enjoyed listening to this book. As a mother to be, I love to insightful approach to parenting that this book portrays. Although I would not call this a personal parenting bible, I did grasp onto some very interesting ideas that I will definitely use when raising my own children. I especially appreciate the approach that "French Parenting" takes towards patience and food.
