I liked this book- it kept you guessing how the main character would get out of his mess by the end of the book. It was about corruption and trying to do the right thing. I enjoy this type of book but had never read this author before.
The narration was very good, the book was pretty good.
I felt that the main character Lila was suppose to be strong and independent but to me she came across as naïve and clueless. I think less about their instant relationship and awkward love scenes would have helped move the book along a little better.
If you'd like a GREAT book- try THE WITNESS by Nora Roberts! (One of my favorites).
This book is one my classic go-to books when I'm between books and need something light and easy to listen to. It's nothing amazing but very entertaining.
You know those days when you just can't catch a break? Meet Agnes!
This book had great characters and was laugh-out-loud funny!
If you like comedy with a splash of mystery and romance, you won't regret this purchase.
(There is a echo thinking thing they do in this book that is annoying at first but don't worry- you get used it it!)
The book itself wasn't anything fantastic, but it had some great scenes and really great one-liners! I hope the movie that comes out this year can bring some of those scenes to life!
It's worth a listen if you need a laugh, just don't plan on taking too much away from this one.
This book kept you wondering what was going to happen!
It was a lot more gruesome than the other books in the series (or at least I hated picturing people carrying around pieces of skin- yuck!) but a GREAT storyline!
If you've enjoyed the other Detective DD Warren books- this one will not let you down!
I stopped reading this series around Fourteen or Fifteen because the books were so similar and boring me to pieces- this book follows suit! How many times can we hear the exact same story (with different skips to catch, of course)?!?!
Stephanie loves Morelli, can't resist Ranger, wants Morelli, wants Ranger.... UGH!
I loved the first few, after that it's like deja vu every time!!!
This book is so well written and has many twists and turns in it. When you think you have it figured out it takes another direction.
This was seriously some of the BEST narration I have ever heard in an audio book!! That alone was worth my credit!
This book was the follow up book of A TIME TO KILL. It has the same lawyer, Jake Brigance, in it from the first book but it was a totally new story.
This book was so great!
I stumbled upon this series (started on book 5, and loved it so much I wanted to read the rest of the series) and I LOVE them ALL!
I was surprised at how little our main character (D.D. Warren) was in this book but it was still a very good book! (Don't worry- she takes over the rest of the books and is amazing).
Very good book- Very worth a credit!!!!
I stumbled upon this book (of course I always start half was thru a series...)
and I LOVED IT!!!
This was such a great book, I loved the narrator for D.D. Warren and can't wait to read the rest of the series!!! Waaaaay worth a credit!!!!
This was such a great book.
It kept me guessing all the way to the end!!
The entire series is GREAT!
I ran out of credits and PAID for this book (that's how great the series is).
These are such great detective books and I even really like the narrator.
This book is soooo BORING!
I read other reviews and loved the book's title so I had high hopes- but what a yawn-fest!!!
If I had to hear, "You're so great Baby. No, you're more great Baby!!" (ok, not in those exact words) one more time I would have screamed. This story is written so amateurish and unrealistic I was so disappointed. I kept waiting for it to get better- ugh! Maybe it would have been a good book for someone in their late teens- not an adult! Seriously- save your credit!!!!
