This book, in my opinion, is missing the part that would make up the history of the characters. It went from the beginning (when she got the kids) to the end (when they were full grown). I felt it was missing something without everything in the middle- there was NOTHING about her sacrifices and her raising the children.
I thought it would be a funny heartwarming story but it wasn't.
I found it very hard to connect with any of the characters (or even care about them). They all seemed to whine about their lives and none of them could appreciate what they had.
I would not recommend this book...

    This book is soooo BORING!
I read other reviews and loved the book's title so I had high hopes- but what a yawn-fest!!!
If I had to hear, "You're so great Baby. No, you're more great Baby!!" (ok, not in those exact words) one more time I would have screamed. This story is written so amateurish and unrealistic I was so disappointed. I kept waiting for it to get better- ugh! Maybe it would have been a good book for someone in their late teens- not an adult! Seriously- save your credit!!!!

This book was so well written! We get to follow the heroine's life from teen to adult and what a journey it was! She was such a strong, amazing person. She really came to life in my mind. I LOVED this book- I will probably read it again.
I am not familiar with Nora Roberts work but I have already done a search to find my next book by her.

They want to steal a dubious painting and several million embezzled dollars from a lethal widow named Clea, who has targeted a mild-mannered art collector as her next dearly departed. Complications include her sister, the female impersonator; his best friend, the reformed cat burglar; a recidivist embezzler named Rabbit; a hit man; some lousy sex; and a juke box.

Sophie Dempsey wants to help her sister film a video and then get out of Temptation, Ohio. Mayor Phin Tucker wants to play pool with the police chief and keep things peaceful. But when Sophie and Phin meet, they both get more than they want. Gossip, blackmail, adultery, murder, vehicular abuse of a corpse, and slightly perverse but excellent sex: all hell breaks loose in Temptation.

This was a really good book. It took me a chapter or two to get into it but I was happy overall with this purchase. This was my first Jennifer Cruise book and I would read another.
The performance was just ok. The voices from the reader were great but the recording seemed very armature. You can hear pages turning, and it had an echo/microphone sound that is irritating.

This was a great story about how one bad decision can affect you for the rest of your life.
It was light-hearted and easy to follow while I was working.
I enjoyed the story but REALLY enjoyed the narrator's chipper voice and it made the book even better for me.

I liked this book- it kept you guessing how the main character would get out of his mess by the end of the book. It was about corruption and trying to do the right thing. I enjoy this type of book but had never read this author before.

Past midnight, Chyna Shepherd, 26, gazed out a moonlit window, unable to sleep on her first night in the Napa Valley home of her best friend's family. Instinct proves reliable. A murderous sociopath, Edgler Forman Vess, has entered the house, intent on killing everyone inside. A self-proclaimed "homicidal adventurer", Vess lives only to satisfy all appetites as they arise, to immerse himself in sensation, to live without fear, remorse, or limits, to live with intensity.

This was a good book. It was very detailed- maybe a bit tooo detailed at times (I was working while I listen to it and would get busy so I would rewind it to see what I missed and it was usually nothing) but it was worth a read! It kept you wondering what was going to happen next and I enjoyed it.

Walker & Daughter is Georgia Walker's little yarn shop, tucked into a quiet storefront on Manhattan's Upper West Side. The Friday Night Knitting Club is the ad hoc creation of some of Georgia's regulars, who stroll into the shop looking for tips on knitting and end up finding much, much more. Once a week, they gather to work on their latest projects and to chat - and occasionally clash - over their stories of love, life, and everything in between.

This was a nice story. Everyone loves everyone (a bit much for me), but it was a nice simple read. I liked this book but not enough to listen to the next in the series.
