Usually I'm sad when a book ends but I was relieved when this one ended, as it was quite a slog to get thru it. There are interesting parts and tidbits but a lot of it is boring. I almost gave up during the first couple of hours but then it improved a little bit so I kept going. It was more my curiosity about John Adams and the history of the time that kept me going rather than the quality of the book. The information is good but there's just something about the writing that makes it boring, which is a pity.
