In 1994, Immaculee Ilibagiza's world was ripped apart when her native country of Rwanda descended into a bloody genocide. Her family was brutally murdered during a killing spree that lasted three months and claimed the lives of nearly a million Rwandans. Miraculously, Immaculee survived the slaughter.

    Story
Would you listen to Left to Tell again? Why?

Yes! I have revisited sections of the story to hear how she desperately hung on to her faith, and how God guided her thru every second because she kept her eye on Jesus...she trusted Him for every little thing.

What did you like best about this story?

It lets you know what we are capable of as people. Our capacity to love and unfortunately, our capacity to hate.

Have you listened to any of Lisa Renee Pitts’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I have not listened to any of her performances before. She portrayed the story excellently.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

My heart ached for the RWandan people...both tribes.

    Any additional comments?

It amazes me how a people can wrong their neighbor because they do not have or know "the love of God". The love of man is not enough!
