"loved it!"
very very good listen. love her writting, love her thoughts. beautiful tone of voice. found this book by accident and already listen to it twice.
"standing ovation to j.k"
I enjoyed this book so much, I didnt want it to end. The way J.K knows to describe all the thoughts that go through all of us and at the same time does not stop us from judging others..she is an amazing writer. A lot of small sentences are so condense with so much of the human truth. i loved the book, i really did. bravo!
"didnt find it helpful"
ok, suger is bad, we get it. i have found the explanations interesting and worth thinking about but the writer who says again and again that it is not a behavioral problem says nothing in the "what to do about it part" he just says: you should it meat and fat and that will make you feel better. you should just do it. well sir, i cant just do it, my body craves the sugar. and THAT'S the problem.
"did not like this book"
first, the narrator just has an unpleasent voice, in my view. second, this book should be named: stating the obvious in a boring way. i'm sorry, i have tried to like it, but no. not a good book in my opinion.
"i love gretchen rubin"
i LOVED her first book and this book is very pleasent to listen as well. my only regret is that this time (unlike with the happiness project) mrs rubin is not the narrator. i think her voice adds a lot to the book overall.
"didnt help me with my writting"
sorry, this book didnt do it for me....it was just listening to common sense, that's it.
"i can sum up this book with one word- mylline"
you dont have to read the whole book just so you know that when you praftice whatever, your neurons get wraped in myline which conduct the electric pulse faster. there, i have saved you one credit.
"did not like it."
this book reminded me a lot of malcolm gladwell amazing book outliers the only thing is, this book was not as good.
"very well written but..no."
amazingly enough this book is good, and yet, i did not like it. the writer is talented but the subject is I ME MINE. it made me tierd listening about me me me. the witer is very educated, interesting but i do not take her view on life in general. the biggest thig regards her choise not to have kids. i find it odd. just like she thinks, and i agree with her ,that traveling teaches you and open your mind, raising a child does the same. so with all her wide view i think she still misses a lot from the whole picture. eventhough she is part of the "auntibragaed".
i did not like this book, still i will look into future books that miss gilbert will write cause she is a good wrtier, just not on the subject of marriage.
"LOVED IT! I HAVE LISTENED TO THE AUDIO TWICE!"
I stumbled upon her blog and loved it. bought the audio and loved it. really, she is a great talent. the only thing is, she talks really fast and that's a shame cause you want to enjoy every funny sentence but she's already off to the next one. Dear Jenny, I will buy your audio, but please, slower...
