The first two books of this series were hilarious! This one was only so-so. I loved the Dena and Maryann dynamic in the first two books and in this one Dena hardly showed up at all! I guess it was the whole "furries" thing. NOBODY is into it. Well except for a select few.
An okay read if there is nothing else you are interested in. I sure wish I would have put my credit to better use.

Enjoyable light read, back story with dead first wife was novel. A bit more to the story than the usual romance fare which is a plus in my opinion. Worth a credit.

Enjoyed the reader, the New Orleans backdrops was fantastic, but there were some idiotic interruptions that just did not fit in with the story or the presumed intelligence of the characters. I just had to fast forward through those parts, blech!
The Aunts, as well as the supporting cast were great, I guess the lead characters were the only ones that kept falling off balance.

Love McMurtys writing, have read about everything he has written. Lee Horsley does a fairly fine job with just about all the characters. But the way he hollars all of McCrays dialouge has made this a book I am unable to complete. I listen through head phones and I have had a headache from it. Even on my car stereo I am constantly adjusting the volume.

I would just have had him not shout all of Gus' dialogue

I love a long rolling book. The mini series is a favorite and I have listen to all the others in the series and loved them.

I hope in the future someone else will record it and I will try again.

Great book, I always love everything by Stephen King, no one has ever been able to surpass his character development. The reader did a fine job except for one glaring mistake the producer should have caught. It bugs me to no end when there are mispronunciations in a reading. I still don't know how they were able to mangle Xavier Cugat's name so soundly, but they managed it. But that is a very small thing for such a fantastic book.

This voluminous book had an enjoyable theme, but I kept thinking as each character rambled their points ad nauseam, that this reader sounds just like the just like the voice of the People Mover ride narrator at Disneyland. I know that ride is not around anymore, at least at the Anaheim location, but man, I just couldn't get past that for some reason.
Only worth sitting through if you are looking for a book and want to get a lot out of your credit.

This series is a great mix of action and sensual romance. I am not one to bear those mooning romance type novels. Although I found there was a bit of a continuity problem with this book. Bones level of strength is supposed to be unheralded because of the merging with his Grand Sires line, but Cat seems to doubt his strength at every turn. If you’re not a stickler for such minute detail, it is a very enjoyable book.
One bit of advice, although I was excited to see book 5 and rushed to purchase it immediately, I found that there are lots of spoilers for the Night Huntress world books 1 and 2. So I had to stop listening and go back and order those two to catch up.

What a yawner. Maybe I am getting too old for these trite stories. The only characters worth note were the grounds keeper and his family. Use your credit for a more worthy book.

Predictable story, but love the reader and genre. Suzy Aitchinson always adds a bit more to what ever she reads. Definitely a white bread listen.

Wonderful prose melodically read by the great Frank Mueller.
I listen to this when it was first recorded (had to have been close to 20 years ago, I know it was on cassette tapes) and was so moved by it then I knew it would merit another listen. I was not wrong, it was even more touching and beautiful with age.

I looked forward to this book after reading all the glowing reviews. After about 4 hours I kept asking myself if I was missing something? It appeared boring and a bit pointless at first. Then enter Lisbeth. Once the book picked up, it was fully engrossing and I downoaded the next book a quick as I could. Turned out to be a real winner just as almost everyone else said it would be.
