  • Be Honest - You're Not That Into Him Either: Raise Your Standards & Reach for the Love You Deserve (Unabr)

    • UNABRIDGED (4 hrs and 19 mins)
    • By Ian Kerner
    • Narrated By Ian Kerner

Come on. Admit it. He may not be that into you, but were you ever really that into him? He was never "the one", but you lowered your standards and dated him in the meantime. Why? For any number of reasons: you were lonely, you were horny, you thought dating him was better than being alone, all your friends are getting married, you name it. And before you knew it, you got hung up on the jerk. Go figure.

    "Has it's moments"

I listened to this one thinking it would be like "He's Just Not That Into You", which is by completely different wasn't. I spent the first 30 minutes or more of THIS audio disheartened, listening to what I already believed/knew to be run things, they are the way they are, we are the way we are, and we'll have to learn to play by their rules if we are to survive. Then the audio took a bit of a turn and provided some helpful information and scenarios. However, the narration was really tough to deal with...I kept focusing on the annoying voice instead of what was being said. Overall, I got a few tidbits of information from it. I'll need to listen again at some point, because just like other audios you get more out of them each time you listen.

  • He's Just Not That Into You: The No-Excuses Truth to Understanding Guys

    • Narrated By Greg Behrendt, Liz Tuccillo

He's Just Not That Into You, based on the popular episode of Sex and the City, educates otherwise smart women on how to tell when a guy just doesn't like them enough, so they can stop wasting time making excuses for a dead-end relationship.

Jenny says: "A good basic message."
    "Absolutely Priceless Audio Book!"

This is by far the best audio book I have ever heard! I've listened over and over again. The way it's written, the way it's narrated...all awesome. I want to take every tidbit of information and post it on my bathroom remind myself of all the good information. I liked it so much I'm going to buy the book for additional reference. It was nice to hear a former-player's perspective. It was empowering and helped me to remember that just because the guy may not be that into me, does NOT mean that it's my fault or my problem. I'm tired of settling for crumbs, and this audio reminds us all that we can simply say "no" and walk away. GREAT AUDIO BOOK!

  • Deal Breakers: When to Work on a Relationship and When to Walk Away

    • UNABRIDGED (5 hrs and 16 mins)
    • By Dr. Bethany Marshall

This is a book about men. Not all men, just emotionally unhealthy men. The ones who make you question, "Is it him or is it me? Am I making too big a deal out of this? I try to tell him how I feel, but he says I'm overreacting or needy or it's all my fault". Relationships are hard work, but how hard should they be? When do you know you are struggling too hard to make a relationship succeed?

partly out of the sadness I felt wishing I'd heard the audio when I was a teenage girl desperate for the love of a boy to replace the love I couldn't get from my dad. Had I heard this audio then, I bet my love life would have turned out much different and much less painful. I also cried to know that a renowned female had written a book about someone like was comforting and freeing as I cried realizing I was not the only woman making the same mistakes over and over and that there was hope! I stopped and started this audio several times just to write down important points. I highly recommend to any woman who feels like she's spent her life settling for way too little and knows she deserves more! Enjoy!

  • It's Called a Breakup Because It's Broken: The Smart Girl's Breakup Buddy

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 19 mins)
    • By Greg Behrendt, Amiira Ruotola-Behrendt
    • Narrated By various

There's no doubt about it, breakups suck. But in the first few hours or days or weeks that follow, there's one important truth you need to recognize: Some things can't and shouldn't be fixed, especially that loser who dumped you or forced you to dump him.

Nadia says: "Made the First Few Days Bearable"
"I Was Devastated, Then This Audio Came Along"

I loved it...highly recommend it. Witty, fun and never ceases to remind you that you are not alone. Interestingly narrated by both a male and a female the two perspectives and sets of experiences give additional depth and understanding to what is primarily a chick's book. Absolutely would recommend it...especially as a gift for ANY woman you know whether going thru her FIRST breakup or her FIFTIETH. Enjoy!

  • Loving What Is: Four Questions That Can Change Your Life

    • ABRIDGED (6 hrs and 51 mins)
    • By Byron Katie, Stephen Mitchell
    • Narrated By Byron Katie, Stephen Mitchell

Out of nowhere, like a fresh breeze in a marketplace crowded with advice on what to believe, comes Byron Katie and what she calls "The Work". In the midst of a normal life, Katie became increasingly depressed. Then one morning, she woke up in a state of absolute joy, filled with the realization of how her own suffering had ended. The freedom of that realization has never left her, and now, in Loving What Is, you can discover the same freedom through The Work.

Dirty Jerry says: "True Confessions of a Guru Junkie"
"Too abstract and touchy-feely for me"

I'd heard such great things about Byron Katie, and this audio started out well but quickly dissolved into recordings or readings from weekend group sessions that had absolutely nothing to do with me or my needs. I tried to identify, but just got bored and lost. Gave up fairly quickly in the process. Unfortunately, I had purchased two of her books at the same time. Within a few minutes of listening to the second one, it sounded EXACTLY like the first one. Note to self...remember to take advantage of the short "free listens" BEFORE buying any more downloads. If you choose to purchase this one anyway I wish you luck...different books/audios speak differently to different people so hopefully you'll find benefit where I just couldn't seem to.
