"Has it's moments"
I listened to this one thinking it would be like "He's Just Not That Into You", which is by completely different authors...it wasn't. I spent the first 30 minutes or more of THIS audio disheartened, listening to what I already believed/knew to be true...men run things, they are the way they are, we are the way we are, and we'll have to learn to play by their rules if we are to survive. Then the audio took a bit of a turn and provided some helpful information and scenarios. However, the narration was really tough to deal with...I kept focusing on the annoying voice instead of what was being said. Overall, I got a few tidbits of information from it. I'll need to listen again at some point, because just like other audios you get more out of them each time you listen.
"Absolutely Priceless Audio Book!"
This is by far the best audio book I have ever heard! I've listened over and over again. The way it's written, the way it's narrated...all awesome. I want to take every tidbit of information and post it on my bathroom mirror...to remind myself of all the good information. I liked it so much I'm going to buy the book for additional reference. It was nice to hear a former-player's perspective. It was empowering and helped me to remember that just because the guy may not be that into me, does NOT mean that it's my fault or my problem. I'm tired of settling for crumbs, and this audio reminds us all that we can simply say "no" and walk away. GREAT AUDIO BOOK!
"I Cried Thru The First Thirty Minutes..."
partly out of the sadness I felt wishing I'd heard the audio when I was a teenage girl desperate for the love of a boy to replace the love I couldn't get from my dad. Had I heard this audio then, I bet my love life would have turned out much different and much less painful. I also cried to know that a renowned female had written a book about someone like me...it was comforting and freeing as I cried realizing I was not the only woman making the same mistakes over and over and that there was hope! I stopped and started this audio several times just to write down important points. I highly recommend to any woman who feels like she's spent her life settling for way too little and knows she deserves more! Enjoy!
"I Was Devastated, Then This Audio Came Along"
I loved it...highly recommend it. Witty, fun and never ceases to remind you that you are not alone. Interestingly narrated by both a male and a female the two perspectives and sets of experiences give additional depth and understanding to what is primarily a chick's book. Absolutely would recommend it...especially as a gift for ANY woman you know whether going thru her FIRST breakup or her FIFTIETH. Enjoy!
"Too abstract and touchy-feely for me"
I'd heard such great things about Byron Katie, and this audio started out well but quickly dissolved into recordings or readings from weekend group sessions that had absolutely nothing to do with me or my needs. I tried to identify, but just got bored and lost. Gave up fairly quickly in the process. Unfortunately, I had purchased two of her books at the same time. Within a few minutes of listening to the second one, it sounded EXACTLY like the first one. Note to self...remember to take advantage of the short "free listens" BEFORE buying any more downloads. If you choose to purchase this one anyway I wish you luck...different books/audios speak differently to different people so hopefully you'll find benefit where I just couldn't seem to.
