"Loved it!!"
I have enjoyed work from both author Rachel Vincent and narrator Amanda Ronconi. So when I saw them together, I jumped for it. I plan on listening all of the books in this series. Plus it's free!! It is a full story...not just a piece of a book!! What do you have to loose, I wish you could get a 2 hour preview story on other series as well!!
"Brilliant"
If you love the Kate Daniels series, you have to listen to this one. In this book, Andrea is the main character and grows so much. It is funny, emotional, full of action and just one of thoes books you would want to listen to again and again.
I love Renee Raudman as well. She is one of my favorites!! You can't go wrong with this book, or any of the Kate Daniels books!!
"Great book!"
I really love this series. it is passionate and so well written.
Start with Under the Nerer Sky (book 1) which is also brilliant! If you can read the novella 'Liv and Roar Under the Never Sky' I would read it first, but you don't have to read the novella to understand book 2 if you have read book 1. It is not on audible.com, but it is pretty short and it really gives you a nice background.
I didn't love the narrator, but he wasn't distracting bad or anything.
"Can't wait for more!"
I loved this book. I love the separation between Jane and Beast, two separate beings in one body, working for a common goal. I really liked getting to know both distinctive personalities. The narrator Khristine Hvam is great as well. And there is even a sample from book 2 at the end, which I am just about to buy!
If you like the Spider (Elemental Assasin) series by Jennifer Estep, the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs, or the Kate Daniels series by Illona Andrews you will like this...and if you haven't listened the above listed series they are all incredible as well!!
Happy listenenig!!
"I loved this book so much"
It took me 5 tries to get into it, but once I did, I was hooked, now I am inhailing the second book!! The narrator is wonderful!! It was so good, I wish I could eat it!! If you devour books like I do, you understand that feeling!!! Happy listening!
"Kim Harrison does it again!!"
I love this series. It is great for anyone who loves UF (urban fantasy) books. Some of you out there love UF, but are not into the x-rated love stories some UF books have. This series only has one or two love scenes inthe whole series, but all of the passion. The characters are so easy to relate to and absolutly loveable! Kim Harrison's books have never let me down!
THe narrator, Marguerite Gavin is amazing! I listened to the Kitty Norville series (by Carrie Vaugn) mainly because Marguerite Gavin narrated it (it is also an must listen to series!!) You just can't go wrong with these books...If you have not read this series yet...start with the 1st book (Dead Witch Walking). You do need to read them in order, or else it won't make sense. But the growth of the characters is a great ride! I hope this helps and happy listening!!
"Can I give it 6 stars?"
This is a great story of how Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and Neverland came to be. It is narrated by Jim Dale, who is one of the best narrators in the universe!! Every time a new part of the Peter Pan story's oriigin is revealed I was amazed! It has sword fights, mermaids, pirarates, a fairy and wonderful characters who I both loved, and loved to hat! This story is for everyone.. boys, girls and adults and children alike.
I plan on reading all of the books in this series! I cannot wait to be a part of Peter and Tinkerbell's adventures in the next 3 books!! Get this book...you will be glad you did!!
"I love this book!"
I do rely on the reviews of fellow listeners. So when I saw a review that the MC was whiny I passed on it for a while. Then the 3 books for 2 credits deal came along, so I decided I was going to get it. I am so very glad I did...I love this book!
Faythe is a 23 yr old, who wants nothing more than Independence from her pride. But the responsibilities that waits for her at home are massive. She needed to grieve for her "human" life that she had so wanted to live, she needed to be angry, and maybe even whine a little, wouldn't you? But she is not just anyone. She is brave, and stubborn and can kick butt like any guy. She is a female WereCat, and that makes her rare. there are only 8 female WereCats of child bearing age not already married in the entire USA. That means the tomcats of the pride with go to any length to protect her. But a tabby (female cat) has gone missing, one that Faythe knows and loves.
But now what will she do when her family really needs her? Run to freedom and leave the problem to the pride, or stay and fight with the rest of her family?
"Best one yet!"
I love this series so much, but hands down Delilah, the were cat is my favorite Character. This book had me laughing out loud one minute and at the edge of my seat the next. The characters are so likable, and the growth (especially of Delilah) is incredible to see throughout the series. The narrator is perfect for this series as well. You must read the books in order since it is an ongoing story, and quite a ride! I love everything Yasmine Galenorn writes, pick up this series...I am so glad I did!
"Wow...just Wow!"
I love the Mercy Thompson series, but this book was by far the best one yet (I have not finished the series yet, but of the first 3 books this is the best). It is raw and emotional, but not in a sappy sort of a way. Mercy is incredibly strong and brave. She will go to great lengths for her loved ones, but she goes farther than she ever though she could go in this one. It almost breaks her. I heard Patricia Briggs discussing this book at NY Comic-Con and was eager to read it after that. She said (and I am paraphrasing) Mercy was pushed so far that she had to make a decision: heal or die. For anyone needing to draw strength from a heroine, Mercy is your girl!
The narrator, Loreli King is great; she gives a wonderful voice to Patricia Briggs characters.
Do yourself a favor and listen to this series. Start with the first book, Moon Called. It is an excellent read!
