"Oh, Jamie!"
Wow! One of my favorite books. How could any woman resist Jamie Frasier? Diana Gabaldon brings such detail to her characters and setting and Davina Porter's narration is amazing. Highly recommend the entire series.
"At Last!!!!!!"
I've always had a thing for Qhuinn. You just knew that he was a bad boy who wanted to be good. And we all knew that Saxton was not going to hang on to Blay. I was a little worried after book 10, Lover Reborn, because I was disappointed and felt that story wasn't at the same level as the other books. I was afraid that JR Ward had run out of fresh ideas. She has returned to form and advanced the Brotherhood storyline. I really enjoyed this book and am so glad that Qhuinn and Blaylock are together at last.
"Vlad the Romantic"
I enjoyed this book immensely, better than the first one. It is a real cliffhanger, however. Not much of the plot is settled by the end. Loved the Kat and Bones cameo. I think Tavia Gilbert does a great job with Vlad's voice. Definitely a fun read.
"Likeable Hypochondriac"
Original premise. The heroine is sure she will die of Vein Star Symdrome at any minute. She knows it is an unreasonable fear but even hypocondriacs die of something! She discovers a group of people who can help her use her fears to benefit society. I wasn't sure about the narrator at first, but she grew on me. She captured Justine's moodiness. Good start to a series.
"Tuck's a Bad Boy"
Tom Stechschulte's voice makes this audio book. His gravelly voice is perfect for the dissolute Tucker Longstreet. A very enjoyable cast of characters and a bit of a surprise ending.
"Menolly the Mope"
I really enjoy this series but my least favorite books are told from Menolly's perspective. Even when she is "happy", she is depressed. Cassandra Campbell gives another good performance. I am looking forward to the next story in the series, since this one is a real cliffhanger.
"Makes me want to live in Half-Moon Hollow"
I love Molly Harper books and this is another fun short story about Half-Moon Hollow. Her stories are laugh out loud funny. I only wish that Amanda Ronconi had done the narration.
"Very Sexy"
First read this story as a freebie on my Kindle. The premise is completely far-fetched-a Human Sexuality professor "runs in" to her favorite metal band at a hotel bar when she's at a conference-but that isn't the point. Sex, love, relationships and rock!
"Sedric the Lionhearted"
Not as strong as the first book but still fun. Pure escapism and the narrator does a good job with all the male voices.
"Shrug"
Purchased the first 2 books of series when they were on sale. This story never really grabbed me. It must improve with the next book but I'm not sure when I'll listen to it. Love Marguerite Gavin as the narrator in the Kitty Norville Series.
