The human-eating Posleen have invaded Earth, decimating all but two North American territories. Heavily outnumbered, humans cluster close together, the possibilities of habitable space shrinking by the day. An epic battle from September 11-27, 2009, will decide the fate of humankind, and the apocalyptic decision to use nuclear weapons - heretofore banned - will alter the fate of alien and human forever.

If you could sum up Annihilation in three words, what would they be?

    Fast pace

What other book might you compare Annihilation to and why?

Star wars, David weber, john ringo

What three words best describe Liam Owen’s voice?

    Good bad editing

    Any additional comments?

This is a good face pace story. For once earth has a leg up. A first book by the Author, and you can tell,. It's not annoying you can just tell. But it has a pace that keeps going. Not for the hard core who want to hear about the hard science behind ftl travel, or how they overcome challenges of astronavigation. But light sci fi at its better!

Barbara Everette, a homemaker living in a small town in Mississippi, had the perfect life. Perfect husband, perfect children, perfect house, perfect Christian Faith. She cooked and cleaned perfectly and managed all of the chores of the modern suburbanite, toting the kids, running the PTA, teaching kung-fu in the local dojo... perfectly. But perfection has a price, and the day came when Barbara snapped....

What did you love best about Princess of Wands?

i like getting several stories for the same character

Have you listened to any of Suzy Jackson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

no but i really like her

    Any additional comments?

Well i went to my first con after this series. this is several short stories. and i really liked the format. i always wonder about the stories or characters that never make a whole book that are on the scrap pile. and this is one of those i think. but the stories are fun and go different places. now this has a big christian undertone because the main character is christian, but he really does hid research and puts her to the test. so that in of its self is fun. so don't let that part of the store keep you from the book. it did for me until i was on a long drive and needed something and john ringo has always been a hit for me, so i went for it and he still has not let me down yet!

If you could sum up Defender in three words, what would they be?

Fun, bit different, good new characters

What other book might you compare Defender to and why?

Pretty much all MS books in the series

Which character – as performed by Dina Pearlman – was your favorite?

I like all the long knifes and a new character we meet in this book.

    Any additional comments?

I find this a good series MS always writes a good book and this universe is always on par. i have yet to read or listen to one of his books i don't like. he has finally gotten away from the tag line of those d*mn longkifes, it gets real old. so i was happy to only hear it once or twice in this book. And seems that Kris gets off on here own allot more in this book.

Wow, as i said in the first review im a bid sci fi fan but really don't like post apocalyptic books. but this is just a great read/listen fun for all ages, narrator is awesome. and the story is amazing. i thought it was going to be predictable and it wasn't, new challenges, new friends and old friends making it the reason you read and stay dedicated to a series. everything i want in a book fun and entertaining and lets my imagination run with the ideas that the author puts in front of me.

Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

There's just one problem with this new worldwide policy - the first alien invasion was merely Plan A. Suddenly, the real assault begins: Earth is attacked by a vast armada of city-sized warships. THe first book was pretty good. again i dont care for books this short, how ever i like the characters, i also like the concept of the story. the narrators character voices are a little annoying. not to give away the story but its been done before and its been dont in allot of the military/sci fi stuff that i like. this one has a heros return, hero doesent like the way he is being paraded around. they are telling him to stay stuff, he wont say the stuff. but the story is still good. and still fast paced like the first book. i cant wait to get to book 3. but with books this short i run out of credits.

I normally dont buy books this short. but i was on my phone and didnt have an time. so i took this from the audible list. its was a good story i am continuing the series even thought the books are short. the narrator is decent i just dont like some of his voices. the story is pretty good but i dont feel some of the friendships and depth of the relationships that he alludes to which i blame for the book being short. but lets get to the good. the story moves along and is a good base, author does not forget how long it takes to get places and he does not overlook some technology. so yeah not a first pick but a good pick
