"Great story!"
I would recommend this audiobook for several reasons. If you've never read these authors, this is a good chance to see if you like their writing style, the price is right, and the narrators are excellent (Katherine Kellgren is one of my favorites). But they are also excellent adventure stories (fantasy/sci-fi?). After listening to the entire book in one sitting, I've added these authors to ones I'll definitely read again.
"My 1st Molly Harper read...."
I listened to this book on the recommendation of Charlaine Harris at her blog. I can only say that I'm back for more! The reader was excellent and the story was fun, light, and very entertaining. I'll definitely listen to more Molly Harper, and would recommend her to anyone interested in this type of book. Just on a side note, the reader, Amanda Ronconi, reminded me very much of Ellen Degeneres.
"The end of a fantastic series?"
I loved all four of the "Mistress of the Art of Death" books and really can't say enough wonderful things about them all. This one was different, as others have stated, and I felt a little thrown off by the change. As for the comments on Adelia's change in focus, I felt like she had decided that she wanted her life to take a different turn than she had been following.
But these books are what I think of as "re-reads" and I'll probably listen to all of them many more times.
Unfortunately, Ariana Franklin (Diana Norman) passed away in January 2011, which makes this book even more poignant. I don't cry over books, but I have to say the end of this one really broke my heart in more ways than one.
