  • Walking from East to West: God in the Shadows

    • ABRIDGED (3 hrs and 28 mins)
    • By Ravi Zacharias, R. S. B. Sawyer
    • Narrated By Ravi Zacharias

Ravi Zacharias was born in India and has literally moved from the East to the West and the West to the East and repeated the cycle again and again to answer skeptics' questions about whether God is alive, who Jesus is, what is truth, and whether we can really find absolutes. Ravi has spoken of his own journey only in bits and pieces in his other books and talks.

    Abhilash says: "Great book!!!"
"excellent to listen to..I would expect no less"

when it comes to Ravi Zacharaias, one expects excellence. He delivers his own story in a moving and heart-on-his-sleeve way. It's easy to think people like him could never relate to heart-breaking issues of most people's lives, but he can. he has had a remarkable life with a surprisingly difficult beginning! I think adults and teenagers would enjoy listening to him tell his own story in his own words with his own voice.

  • Deadline

    • ABRIDGED (6 hrs and 27 mins)
    • By Randy Alcorn
    • Narrated By Frank Muller

Involved in a tragic accident under suspicious circumstances, award-winning journalist Jake Woods teams with detective Ollie Chandler to uncover truths. As Jake struggles for answers, he is plunged into a deeper search for the meaning of his own existence in this heart-pounding murder mystery.

    J. Madsen says: "Exciting"
"Randy Alcorn lives up to his reputation!"
What made the experience of listening to Deadline the most enjoyable?

The continuous fast pace made it very enjoyable. It enabled me to drive without getting sleepy from Nashville back to Metro Detroit!

What other book might you compare Deadline to and why?

It was somewhat similar to Dominion, but not quite as good.

What about Frank Muller’s performance did you like?

He seems to have a good grasp on what the person should sound like without sounding cliche.

  • The Eternity Code: Artemis Fowl, Book 3

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 58 mins)
    • By Eoin Colfer
    • Narrated By Nathaniel Parker

After being held prisoner for years, Artemis Fowl's father has finally come home. He is a new man, an honest man, much to Artemis's horror. He makes his son promise to give up his life of crime, and Artemis has to go along with it. But not until he has completed one last scheme.

Kindle Customer says: "I hope this isn't the end!"
"They could have chosen a better narrator."
Would you consider the audio edition of The Eternity Code to be better than the print version?

I have both, and bought both so that my son could listen and read at the same time. The print version and the audio version don't match up (One is British English, the other is American English). If you are using one or the other it probably wouldn't matter. Together for a child, it might be a little confusing.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mulch Diggums is my favorite character. He's just so gross it's funny!

What aspect of Nathaniel Parker’s performance would you have changed?

I think that he needed to do 2 major things to improve his performance. 1. He needed a better American accent. 2. I would like to see more difference in each character's voice. I really don't think that Artemis' voice should have been so deep.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. It was 7 hours long.

    Any additional comments?

It was a fun book. Artemis Fowl never disappoints!
