There are tales of Middle-earth from times long before The Lord of the Rings. The story told in this book is set in the great country that lay beyond the Grey Havens in the West: lands where Treebeard once walked, but which were drowned in the great cataclysm that ended the First Age of the World.

    Catherine says: "Powerful and Disturbing"
    "Ruined by the Narrator"
    Overall

Christopher Lee may be fun to watch as a vampire, but his narration literally sucks. It totally ruined the book for me. It was very difficult to concentrate on the story while he was putting me to sleep.

The dangerous, fanatical Imperial Order, under the leadership of the power-mad Emperor Jagang and his multitude of demonic underlings, unleashes a deadly plague. To find a cure, Richard Cypher and his beloved Kahlan Amnell must seek out the legendary Temple of the Winds, a fortress of evil sealed away for three thousand years. But the path of the Seeker of Truth is never an easy one - even if he can reach the Temple at all, there is no guarantee he'll ever return.

Danielle says: "Good book, poor narration"
    "Great Book"
    Overall

Aside from the extremely irritating way the reader mispronounces many of the main characters names, this was as riveting as the earlier works.

In a stunning follow-up to her number one best seller Slander, leading conservative pundit Ann Coulter contends that liberals have been wrong on every foreign policy issue, from the fight against Communism at home and abroad, the Nixon and the Clinton presidencies, and the struggle with the Soviet empire right up to today's war on terrorism.

    Mark says: "A bizarre phenomenon"
    "Great Book"
    Overall

A great book, the truth will always come out.
