"Narrator butchers good story"
Would you consider the audio edition of Nancy's Mysterious Letter to be better than the print version?NO. The narrator's use of accents in characters' speech was VERY grating to both mine and my 8 year old daughter's nerves. Just read the story as written. Please don't add accents that are not described in the books. I was shocked to hear Hannah Gruen portrayed as a Yankee interpretation of a Southern belle. George's voice conjured images of an elderly male nursing home inhabitant.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Nancy's Mysterious Letter?Unfortunately the introduction to Bess and Gearge's romantic interests was marred by the narrator's rendition of their parts in the book.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Jessie Birschbach?Laura Linney had done an excellent job narrating previous books.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?A mistaken letter stolen, an unknown heiress in danger of being swindalled and a teenage detective with two mysteries to solve.
