A friend read this book and suggested it to me. After listening to it, I sure hope the author is wrong! I found myself sitting in the driveway, after I would get home, to continue listening to it. I guess that's the audio book equivalent to "couldn't put the book down". Since the story was set near Asheville, NC, my hometown, I also related to many of the landmarks he mentioned. The story is a stark reality check to how dependent we, as a society, have become to high tech gadgetry and electronics. After reading this, I want to start stockpiling supplies and food, learn how to garden and restore a pre-1980's car...just in case!
