Award-winning author Craig Johnson's critically acclaimed debut Western mystery takes listeners to the breathtaking mountains of Wyoming for a tale of cold-blooded vengeance. Four high-school boys were given suspended sentences for raping a Cheyenne girl. Now, two of the boys have been killed, and only Sheriff Walt Longmire can keep the other two safe.

Dataman says: "Not Your Ordinary Western Novel (Series)"
    "This is 2nd book I couldn't finish"
    Overall

This is slow slow slow the mind wanders and goes on pointlessly. I did like the narrator though. For such high reviews I guess you would have to finish the the book after 6 hours I gave up and moved on. First book I couldn't finish was Moby Dick. I did like the narrator though.

A storm struck on the night Laura Shane was born, and there was a strangeness about the weather that people would remember for years. But even more mysterious was the blond-haired stranger who appeared out of nowhere - the man who saved Laura from a fatal delivery. Years later - after another bolt of lightning - the stranger returned.

Barry says: "One of Koontz' best, entirely enjoyable."
    "Truly Enjoyed"

I enjoyed the book and great narrator. I liked the characters and the book is in my top 20.
