When a 15-year-old girl is abducted by vampires, it’s up to U.S. Marshal Anita Blake to find her. And when she does, she’s faced with something she’s never seen before: a terrifyingly ordinary group of people - kids, grandparents, soccer moms - all recently turned and willing to die to avoid serving a master. And where there’s one martyr, there will be more.

i like this series the story was good but, i'm getting tired of having all these sex scenes.it seems that LKH is using the sex as fillers for the stories. wish there was more plot and story and less sex.

Jace's return to Kansas is an instant reminder that there really is no place like home. The tavern is still brimming with losers, practical jokers, and motorcycle chicks. Even the town's only Goth is still wearing eyeliner. But just as Jace is about to click her heels and hightail out of there, she's roped into a brand-new case. Somebody is possessed. And the bodies are piling up....

SWFG: Single, White, Female, Geek. "That's me, Lexi Carmichael, a reformed hacker who was gainfully employed by the National Security Agency. But a series of extraordinary events led me to leave government life behind for a fresh start with a brand-new company and an incredibly sexy boss, Finn Shaughnessy. It may not be kosher to have the hots for your boss, but he seems to have the hots for me, too. If only things didn't get so complicated...."

this is one that was recommended to me funny. i listened to it and i have never rooted so much for the bad guy to just to kill the morons. they reminded me of the people in horror movies that are so stupid that viewers are waiting and rooting for them to be killed, while knowing that the idiots always seem to survive. it was funny at many points but i was so annoyed and kept going really through all the moments when the main characters did stupid things. i only finished the book because i was hoping that one of the two main characters was killed off. i think it would have been a better book if they weren't such morons.

She's a banshee - she screams when someone dies. But the next scream might be for Kaylee. Yeah, it's a shock to her, too. So to distract herself, Kaylee's going to save every girl in school. Because that hot new teacher is really an incubus who feeds on the desire of unsuspecting students.

I almost didn’t get this book. I was so happy I did, I was the best in the series. I loved the twists in turns. It made me change my opinion on some the characters. I loved the end not only the game changing end, but the twists that were put in to it. I hope there is either more to the series or a sequel to this one.

first, all the people complaining about the books if you don't like them stop listening to them don't kedp buying them and hate on them. i love that LKH brings in Edward and Olaf back for the book.they always make the story funnier and interesting. i do wish it was longer but it was still good, with action in it, even though we know who the killers are from the beginning. i can't wait to see what happens in the next book for the other characters.

Anna Strong is trained for anything-until she's attacked one night, only to awaken in a dark world that exists between the living and the dead. Here, Anna struggles with her love for the two men who inhabit the realms of each: Max, a human DEA agent, and Avery, a Night Watcher who joins Anna in pursuit of the vampire who changed her life. Now, as her two worlds collide, fate plunges Anna into the ultimate battle between good and evil - where survival is not just for the living.

Karen says: "Another new take on vampires and the paranormal."

I was very disappointed when listening to this book. I was read to stop listening less than three hrs in. Anna is not very intelligent and seems to trust complete strangers and lie to friends. don't waste your money or credit on this
