Great introduction to a new collection of writers. I will definitely look for more stories from them. It was like getting a big gift with multiple gifts inside.

As adventurous, free-thinking friends introduce new ideas into their household, Mrs. Bridge begins to question the life she has led as one by one her children leave home, but not for the lives she wished for them. Mrs. Bridge feels as if the world she built with her husband is crumbling, brick by brick, but Mr. Bridge remains resolute, a firm believer in his family and his place at the head of the table.

At the end I just felt foolish for listening so long. Both people are sketched too lightly to be worth reading.

Featuring David Sedaris's unique blend of hilarity and heart, this new collection of keen-eyed animal-themed tales is an utter delight. Though the characters may not be human, the situations in these stories bear an uncanny resemblance to the insanity of everyday life.

Would you listen to Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk again? Why?

I have no memories of being read to as a child , but, as an adult, this is one book that I could see myself requesting to hear over and over again.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk?

There are many, but love the first story of the simian beautician placating the cat for tips seems to remind me of everyone.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

I loved all of the narrators voices

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes

Forrmer academic Arthur Opp weighs 550 pounds and hasn’t left his rambling Brooklyn home in a decade. Twenty miles away in Yonkers, seventeen-year-old Kel Keller navigates life as the poor kid in a rich school and pins his hopes on what seems like a promising baseball career - if he can untangle himself from his family drama.

Kathy says: "I couldn't stop listening"

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I would not have included Arther Op's confession in the beginning.

Has Heft turned you off from other books in this genre?

    No

What aspect of Kirby Heyborne and Keith Szarabajka ’s performance would you have changed?

The actor reading The part of Arthur Op was perfect. Paced well and Expressive. The voice of Kel was too slow and too adult.

Was Heft worth the listening time?

No, I listened at normal pace for hours and then sped it up 3x normal speed.

    Any additional comments?

I was disappointed, the characters were predictable and I did not know them any differently from the way they were developed in the beginning.
