A fun listen, light, not mind bending just an enjoyable story.
Just a good story, with a perfect setting. I could actually see the book store being in San Francisco.
This will fill a day or so of light listening when you really don't want anything heavy or that you have to concentrate too much on. It's enjoyable and narrated very well.
Not buying it, and being able to return it without having to jump through hoops
A deaf person might enjoy listening to it.
It would have been better if the narrator was someone else.....
You REALLY should listen to the books you put up for people to buy.
complete with "Biff" "Bang!" "Swoosh!" "Clang!" "Snap!" "Slap!" "Boom!" and even an - no I'm not kidding - "Holy Batman" line. I don't know who would enjoy this book, but they have my condolences for trying.
Write a believable, or at least SOMEWHAT believable book. This was really nothing more than comic strip super hero takes on notorious bad guy and a couple hundred of his henchmen almost single handily, kicks their butts, saves the world and gets the girl in the end. It's just silly from start to finish.
The whole thing just runs together, one big race from start to finish
The narrator did a very good job. If it wasn't for him, I would have turned the book off an hour into it.
More of a Tom Clancy feel to this one. Probably one of my favorites in the series.
Good character development, but the book moves kind of slow.
No, probably not. I guess she set this up for maybe a series, but I think I will pass if more come out. Maybe she should go back to the Harry Potter type books.
No, but I am sure one will follow.
A complete moron
Shot the narrator, and then found someone with half a brian
I was only able to stomach 30 minutes of it. He makes the "hit" team sound like a bunch of excited school girls, not professionals. He makes the president and general sound like a couple of NY City Thugs - just horrible.
I felt like throwing up
It was a good story but the narration was typical Brick melodrama. He makes every character sound like he or she suffers from a very deep depression. Really, it's my fault. I completely missed the fact that he was the narrator. If I had seen that, I would not have bought the book.
The ending, because I didn't have to listen to Scott Brick anymore.
Find someone who understands the genre and have them narrate the book. Leave Mr. Brick to the Romance novels.
I'd watch it on cable.
It was a fun listen.
Just an amazing narrator. He does such a good job with this series.
It's worth it just to listen to the narrator. It's how every action book should be read.
Don't know if it was the narrator or the story, but it just doesn't grab you and make you want to keep listening.
He does voices very well, but overall, his manner of narration makes you want to take a nap in most places. If he would have read the book with the same enthusiasm he shows in places, it would have been much better. He does have a very soothing voice, but this is supposed to be action? Right? but not so much the way it was narrated.
Everything. Good plot, good characters, lots of action, excellent narration
Fun "guy" book. Really worth a listen.
