What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

If this had actually been an audio book about the subject matter listed in the title, it might have been worthy of my time. I don't mind deviations from the subject but this isn't a book period. This is an advertisement for several other books. It's conversations with authors of books in a radio show interview format. I wasn't looking for, nor should I have to pay for, or suffer advertisements for books cleverly disguised as a book for purchase. This should be FREE and I urge audible to refund purchase of this advertisement for books to maintain their own credibility. The subject matter is interesting. I was so disappointed that it wasn't actually a book on the subject matter, or on any of the subject matters discussed in the radio interview style ad.

He hopes running the story as a rolling exclusive will revive the fortunes of his flagship news-stand title. I didn't realize the simplicity of the basic story until I began telling my partner about the premise. Thus, I myself was amazed at how brilliantly this story was developed and the narration is indeed its equal. It was full of suspense, good character development, and best of all, an ending that wasn't chapters and chapters of "the final battle". I am now a Cottam fan and I am also fond of Rintoul's expert narration. Great combination!

The bizarre truth to top-secret experiments in time travel and invisibility. In 1943, a U.S. Navy ship vanishes during a secret World War II experiment gone horrifically wrong. The ship vanished and traveled through time, setting off a number of events that continue today, spilling over into the Montauk Project, a continuation of the Philadelphia Experiment. Surviving researchers from the Philadelphia Experiment met in the early '50s intent on continuing their work on manipulating the electromagnetic shielding used to make the USS Eldridge invisible to radar and to the naked eye.

Might have been good if the audio was improved. Also much of the lecture/info requires viewing the material, for those like me who do not have enough of a scientific/math background to be able to visualize the lecture material. This might be some interesting and compelling information, in the right format. But I can't properly evaluate it based on audio that could be cleaned up and/or edited to make the information more clear to the lay listener.

Always leave a little salt on the bread. Ikey Solomon's favorite saying is also his way of doing business, and in the business of thieving he's very successful indeed. Ikey's partner in crime is his mistress, the forthright Mary Abacus, until misfortune befalls them. They are parted and each must make the harsh journey from thriving nineteenth century London to the convict settlement of Van Diemen's Land.

The story and telling of it is superb. This Australian trilogy may well become a classic. Mr. Courtenay is a word-smith of the highest caliber. Mr. Bower is an excellent voice to represent this finely crafted novel. I look forward to the next books in the trilogy! Well Done.

The New World Order. Hitler referred to it in his diaries. President George H. W. Bush foretold of it in his speeches. Formed by a secretive global elite, the group seeking this new order has taken hold of the nation and perhaps the world. Its influence pervades every reach of American society, from the products we buy at the grocery store to the topics of evening news programs.

I enjoyed this audio book very much. While there are many points I take issue with, I regard the book highly. It was clear, concise and insightful. The explanations about complex matters were very good. I have a far better grasp on some of the more complex systems in place in our government than previously. Regardless of whether one agrees with the author on some of the conclusions drawn or not, the explanations, history and evolution are thoughtful and stunning. I will listen to this one again.

What would have made Forbidden Knowledge of the Lost Realms better?

Forget the music. If you feel a need to add music, do it sparingly and in a manner that enhances rather than detracts from the communication. The music goes from soft to hard rock and there is far too much and it is far too loud. In some instances the music is like a filler to pad the time, and I don't like wasting mine on another person's music taste. I would have truly enjoyed this audio book had it had no music. As it stands, I can't finish it even though it is a subject I find quite interesting. And by the way, I like music too. I just prefer to listen to my choice of it on my terms.
