    There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

    I was very much taken by the first 2/3 of the book.

    No, I have not. The book was well read.

Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

    What did you like best about Gone Girl? What did you like least?

    I very much liked the mystery aspect of the first half of the book that included the psycho woman making diary entries from the past while the "husband" character was making entries in more or less real time.


    What could Gillian Flynn have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

    Write a more interesting ending.


    What about Julia Whelan and Kirby Heyborne ’s performance did you like?

    Yes - these people were great. I enjoyed the delivery and the resonance of their voices.


    If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    Well, maybe but I would probably catch a nap at the end.

    Yes - and I have. There are potions of the storyline that are clever.

    Move it along a bit.


    What does Jeff Gurner bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    He does a nice job in the narration.


    Was Daemon worth the listening time?

    Yes - at times I questioned it, but overall I think yes.
