There's no doubt about it, breakups suck. But in the first few hours or days or weeks that follow, there's one important truth you need to recognize: Some things can't and shouldn't be fixed, especially that loser who dumped you or forced you to dump him.

Nadia says: "Made the First Few Days Bearable"
    "Good for the heart"
    Overall

If you can overlook the corny jokes this is a good listen for those who are heartbroken or in the process of breaking up. They give a wide range of examples and one of them is bound to fit your life. I liked it and found it had some valid points.

In factories around the world, Toyota consistently makes the highest-quality cars with the fewest defects of any competing manufacturer, while using fewer man-hours, less on-hand inventory, and half the floor space of its competitors. The Toyota Way is the first book for a general audience that explains the management principles and business philosophy behind Toyota's worldwide reputation for quality and reliability.

Staci says: "Skips to Many Parts of the Book"
    "Toot the Toyota Horn"
    Overall

The Toyota Production System can be beneficial but this book is more about tooting toyota's reputation as the best company. You can get all the guidelines on TPS from any free website without having to read about the history of the Toyota company.

The whistleblower who died before she could expose a scandal at Pruitt & Pruitt was Madison's best friend...and her father's trophy girlfriend. It'll take more than a week at the spa for this heiress-turned-spy to recover from a potential murdering dad, a rough-around-the-edges boyfriend who doesn't know she's filthy rich, and an FBI agent who has the gall to lecture her about protocol.

Scottie in TX says: "Golden Girl Rocks"
    "All Poof and no Substance"
    Overall

Much like the party girls we see in the tabloids...all poof and no substance. Story line had potential but I could not feel any sympathy to the characters.

Because the story was so short, it moved along so fast. But considering that it was offered for free, you can't complain. Based on this short story, I would give this auther a chance.

No one in Twin Oaks knows about the risky deal Kaitlin Wells cut with the Feds for her release. But everyone remembers her scandalous arrest for stealing money from the Mercury Bank. Now, three years later, Kat has come home to catch the real thieves and prove her innocence. Trouble is, some powerful folks don't want her digging up the past...or getting friendly with new sheriff Justin Radner. But some laws can't be ignored, like white-hot attraction.

The two main characters are not developed enough to allow the reader to believe and care for them. They immediately fall in love in very unlikely circumstances. There are clues to who the villain is in the story but in the end it turns out to be someone else--with no clues to why that person is the culprit. Overall I never felt involved in the story.

You can go after the job you want...and get it! You can take the job you have...and improve it! You can take any situation you're in...and make it work for you!

I did not care for this audiobook. I could not relate to the examples and what was worse, the voice of the reader was so boring.

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author, Victoria Alexander's historical romance novels are favorites with listeners looking for steamy tales of the heart. Set in London in the early 1800s, The Lady in Question follows a debutante on her quest for love. Widow Delia Effington is lonely until she meets the handsome Viscount Tony St. Stephens who makes her heart race. But what she doesn't know is that Tony, in disguise, has had his eye on her for quite some time.

In a voice both haunting and startlingly immediate, Nitta Sayuri describes her life as a geisha. Taken from her home at the age of nine, she is sold into slavery to a renowned geisha house. Witness her transformation as you enter a world where appearances are paramount, virginity is auctioned to the highest bidder, women beguile powerful men, and love is scorned as illusion.

I loved the story. It followed the young girls life so well that it made me feel like I was growing up with her. Her decisions at the end made me scream but the ending left me feeling like it was all worth it. Loved it.
