"Great performance by William Hurt"
Yes. William Hurt really brought to life the characters
While I didn't really have a favorite I liked Cohen the least.
No. This was my first experience.
Parts of it really made me laugh
"Wodnerful!!!"
A hilarious surprise!
Nick.
No. This was my first listen.
Not really. But I loved this book.
"Good listen"
While. I didn't love it, I enjoyed the story
Yes.
I thought he did a great job with pacing and inflection.
No.
"Make up your own mind"
Yes. I was reluctant based on some of the reviews. Once I got in to the story I could not stop. Ms. Rowling does an excellent job with character development. Tom's performance kept the book interesting. He brought life to the characters.
Barry Fairbrother. His sense of goodness brought balance to the story.
His distinct way of bringing out the individuality of each character. His performance was such that each name was distinctly portrayed in a very credibley way.
No aboubt about it, Krystal Weedon. Her fighting spirit and loyalty were very admirable.
"A great book lover's life"
Yes. I really enjoyed this book. It was a great review of some of the books I had read.
I am not sure.
No. But I will look for other books performed by him.
The discussion of the The Bite of Mango was very compelling.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Jeff did a great job in his performance.
"Excellent narrator!"
Yes. Edoardo does an excellent job handling the different characters.
Pasquale Tursi. His was the one character who had honor.
Pasquale.
Pasquale.
I downloaded this book after reading a review about it in the NY Times. It would not have been one I would have normally read or listened to. The narrator really did a great job making the story come alive. His fluency in Italian was a big plus.
"First Graham Green experience"
I really enjoyed this book. It was very thought provoking. Colin Firth did an excellent job breathing life in to each character.
The interplay between the three characters.
A very clear understanding of the emotions felt by each character. Although Henry comes across as a very aloof civil servant, his reaction to his discovery of Sarah's relationship with Bendrix is very profound. He struggles with his perceived rules of proper society, and how he should react, and his own failures brought on by his job duties.
Bendrix.
As stated, this was my first experience with Graham Greene. While Colin Firth could make a telephone book sound interesting Graham's story is just as poignant today as in 1951, when he wrote this novel.
"Very interesting!"
I loved the "behind the scenes" glimpse this book offered. It was very educational and interesting since I had no idea that there was a club. I will get another book where he reads because he was so good.
Nixon and Clinton. Their relationship was very intriguing.
Bob did such a wonderful job that it is difficult to single out one. He was very even handed in how he portrayed each character. I liked how he read in his voice without trying to mimic any certain president.
No. I was just thoroughly engaged.
Bob Walter's performance was excellent. I did not detect any partisanship. He was very interesting reader.
