This is up there in my top audiobook for the year - right next to "Made to Stick".
It is full of interesting and useful information.
An excellent follow-up book for those who liked Robert Cialdini's "Influence" from the 1980s.
Pretty disappointed with this audiobook - nothing more than an in-depth recitation of quirky statistical information. About 2/3 of the way through this book I had to call it quits. BTW, this is not a good book to listen to while drive - you may fall asleep.
Hands down one of the top offerings available on audible.com!
I could heap superlative after superlative on this book in an attempt to convince you to buy it - but I won't.
The fewer people that read this book, the better off for me. The knowledge is so simple, yet so practical, I want to be able to use it all for my own personal gain and not have to share it with other potential competitors in the idea marketplace.
On a side note, who ever said the narrator was dry or ineffective....well lets just say they don't know what they are talking about. The narration was smooth and totally appropriate for the content delivered. He nailed it.
Not really knowing what to expect, I was very surprised with how much I learned from this audio book. After listening to this audio presentation, I have come away with a renewed sense of hope and a reduced sense of despair regarding areas of my life and work that I know require change. Listening to this audio book has also given me a more powerful conceptual framework for handling conflict and approaching issues of change with other people.
Simple. Smart. Sustaining.
I must also give kudos to the narrator. His voice and articulation perfectly matched the tempo and style of the book. I felt as if the author himself were reading the book.
