When I was listening to this book (the third version of it) a teen age boy who was near me said this is a women's manual of how to defeat men. I look at it more as a manual of how to conduct one's life. This is a great manual for managers and executives. My first ready was at the direction of an executive. Here you will learn how to change your thinking into a winning thinking model.

I recently picked up a book by R. A. Salvatore after years of not reading it. I read the Sundering book one and decided to go back to learn what happened to set the stage for that series. Here we find the trio joined by an old friend to see the Bruenor off to be king of Mithral Hall. With many surprises along the way and a tower being dropped on someone’s head this story sets the stage for the rest of series. This story is really intricate while leaving a lot of openings for follow on stories.

The need for change as we get older - an emotional pressure for one phase of our lives to transition into another - is a human phenomenon, neither male nor female. There simply comes a time in our lives - not fundamentally different from the way puberty separates childhood from adulthood - when it's time for one part of ourselves to die and for something new to be born.

I was sleeping and had a dream that I needed to read a book or books by this author. When I woke up I looked her up and was led to this book. Why? I’m not at my mid life and have years before me before I reach that point. Why, because there is great information contained here. I’m at a point in my spiritual journey where I’m trying to figure out where to go next. Many people call me ‘old’ and tell me ‘Your time is passing’. Yet, I’m starting my own business which is my third because of the lessons I’ve already learned.

I can see why this author teamed up with Deepak Chopra. By reading this book you will face some very real issues you’re may not be ready to face. I learned to face my issues with job interviews and why I didn’t get the ones I wanted. I know why I failed the ones I got from feedback and I realized they were preparation for the job I want. I also learned from this book to reconcile my issues with money. Why do we want to be rich and then hate the rich? Really this says that we hate ourselves. If you read this book you will take a look at issues that are very deep seated or ingrained in our society or ourselves. I’ve passed this book on via my kindle to a friend to read.

The author points out something that I’ve thought about myself and that is why people who are masculine suppressed. I’ve seen little boys being punished for being masculine. Why? Yet, a little girl does the same thing she is praised. Why? Then I’ve seen where both sides are punished because it leads to inequality. We’ve lost our way here and people hate it privately, but embrace it publically. People enter into relationships and neither one of them knows their roles. I’m not saying that women are to stay at home and the man goes out. I’ve seen relationships fall apart around me all the time. All of my siblings have been married divorced at least twice and I looked at their relationships to learn why. We were raised in a family with one side being dominant (female) and no one learned to balance this out with the people in their lives. I’ve never been married, but when I look at my past relationships I see this. Now reading this book I can see the basic lessons that will help not only those in my family for relationships. I’ve also passed it on to a friend and sent it out to the family to read. If you’re relationship if failing try starting here for an answer.

This book is decades old and the wisdom contained within it is still valid today. The author talks about how people destroy themselves because of something they’ve done. We all have secrets we don’t want discovered and that can destroy us. At the same time the author walks us through how to change this. Some will say that this book goes down the religious road too far, but if you look at it from the higher perspective you will get the real message along with the real lesson!

Here the author give us a complete background on the teachings contained within the book as well as the origins of this type of meditation. If you wanted to do them all in a row it will take you a few days to accomplish them. If you want to do them for the betterment of yourself then do them in groups, but not while driving. The same is true regarding doing these meditation for the benefit of others.

I found these meditations very beneficial in my spiritual growth and my growth in this world. I find them very in-depth and very peaceful once you do them. They also helped me reach some deep seated issues and deal with them. I recommend these meditations to anyone who wants to dig deeper into themselves and find more peace as a result. I would like to see all these meditations broken down and labeled, so they can be replayed later for guided meditations later as needed.

At the very beginning of this book the author states very clearly that you need to do with book with a group. Please heed this advice as you will get great information here, but you can get more with others pushing you. I did this book with two friends of mine that are both leaders where they work and in our community. I can’t express in a simple review about this book. I also can’t tell you in the space limited here all that you will learn. Just trust in that you will learn more here in a group then you will as an individual.

I’ve read over a 100 books regarding spirituality including several versions of the bible and the ‘Dead Sea Scroll’. Here is a summary of all these books into one place. This book can seem very heavy for those who haven’t read any other books or are willing to look at themselves. I recently left my job and when asked why I simply said that spirit was guiding me. I then spent three months going through a lot of trials. In the end I ended up with a new job where I was truly happy and the lessons have served me beyond words. I learned to see the path I was meant to be on including have compassion to others while understanding that we can’t know the real reason of others suffering!

I do disagree with the author on the statement that scientist have proven that while is all colors and black is the absence of all colors. My Native American teacher told me to take all the colors of the rainbow and mix them together and I got black. No matter how you try this test with colors you always end up with black. You can ask any 1st grader this as they’ve learned it.

With this in mind I will still recommend this book to people to read as I learned new information here I can apply.

When I read books by this author I’ve either bought them in paperback or on the Kindle. After I had spent some time away from this story line and only got this book to see if I would like listening to this series in audio form. I found it quite enjoyable and continue this series as it comes out in audio form. Hopefully it won’t end up like some Issac Asimov’s series where one book is missing from the middle of some of the series.

I like this story and the way the author weaved the return of the Companions of the Hall. If you think this answer is or this storyline is simple it’s not. The author continued the storyline flawlessly from the last book in the series. He also answers the question that if at the end of your life what would you change about you if you got another life to live. This is the first time I’ve read this in a book which is interesting. I also see in this book a lot of the teaching of the ages. Simply coming back isn’t just as simple as it sounds and the author really goes into this. We do see the ‘Companions of the Hall’ each change as they grow in their new lives and how they change as they grow. In many ways this is like our spiritual journey.

If you read this book you will meet new enemies that came along as the companions grew up in their new lives. You will see old friends return and once more right in line with the already existing story line. In the end I really enjoyed the story including the very big surprise at the end. Don’t worry you’ll like it!
