The Dalai Lama will tell you that happiness is the purpose of life, and that "the very motion of our life is toward happiness." How to get there has always been the question. With the help of a psychiatrist, he now gets the message across in a context we can easily understand.

    Story

Here H.H. the Dalai Lama goes through Buddhism and how to use it can be used to defeat our anxiety, anger or even an ordinary bad mood. He tells stories to relate how this has been done by ordinary people every day. He also goes into why spirituality is important in our lives and why its not. He goes through how to find happiness and get through pain by seeing through it. Anyone who has kids that have watched Avatar: the last airbender knows this lesson. Pain is what tells us when something is wrong in our bodies and our lives. We should listen to it to deal with it and release it. As a long time meditation practitioner I found the information very informative.

As METAtropolis: Green Space moves into the 22nd Century, human social evolution is heading in new directions after the Green Crash and the subsequent Green Renaissance. Nearly everyone who cares to participate in the wired world has become part of the "Internet of things", a virtual environment mapped across all aspects of the natural experience. At the same time, the serious back-to-the-land types have embraced a full-on paleo lifestyle, including genetically engineering themselves and their offspring.

    Story

I’ve always enjoyed the METAtropolis series and with author Jay Lake’s passing I hope the series is not ended as well. I liked how each story flowed into the next even when it didn’t seem that it should. I do think you can tell when overall editing was changed from one person to another and lets see if you can do it. This is a future version of the world where there is hope and there is life. This is not a series about complete hopelessness and I recommend it to everyone.

I’ve read many books over the years by many authors who have interviewed people who died and came back. Along with near death experiences people have had. I’ve read David Wilcox work on what really happens when we die as well as many others.

Here Mike puts them all together in one location and it’s easy to follow. I have never believed since I was a little child what I was told about death and judgement I will face when it occurs. I believe Mike has it right and that we are all loved and here to learn lessons as the ancient pagans used to teach. Which oddly enough the Catholic church taught as well until they decided it was heresy.

When you read this book you will understand why you do some of the things you do like that odd little conversation with the person in the store line that you will never see again in this life. If you did you would see how it changed both of your lives in a little way that led to something bigger. You’d understand that fearing death is a waste of time and so much more. Please approach this book with an open mind and enjoy it to it’s fullest.

This classic tale is a fantastical fable of two dear friends - one of whom goes astray and is literally lost to the north woods, while the other undertakes an epic journey to rescue him. This charming, strange, and wonderful story is a timeless allegory about growing up and the challenges of staying true to one's self, and it served as the wintry inspiration for the blockbuster hit Frozen.

I was given this book by audible for a Christmas present and grateful. However, this story started out great and I liked it. But then it turned in a book about Christianity which completely ruined the story line! I wouldn’t even consider giving this book away its that bad! I really had high hopes for it as the way it started out, but in the end it was a complete waste of time.

I finished the Power of Now and jumped right into this book. I like that Deepak talks about letting go of all your inhibitions and just let love flow. For many of us we get into relationships and at first they’re fast and furious. It’s all good, but then we get married and we let our Ego’s get in the way. Read this book to learn how to get past your Ego and just enjoy your partner.

Years ago I was going to all kinds of retreats trying to find myself. I was also doing work where I was looking for the same thing. Then one day when someone invited me to another retreat I said ‘no’ because a little voice inside me said I didn't get what I was looking for from the others what will make this one different. I didn't understand then, but I do know. Here Eckhart Tolle gives us this answer and that is if the same thing isn't working try something new and I did! I also got the results I was looking for!

I’ve read a hundred books on the subject of self improvements and this is the first one that talks of woman and why we as men look down on them when we should be looking up to them or realizing the truth concerning women.

I recommend this book as I've found practicing the simplest suggestion contained here has helped improve my life.

I used the lessons here to deal with bad habits I've been trying to get over for years. By going through the steps in this book you will learn to get rid of any ‘addiction’ and a bad habit is an ‘addiction’. You will also get a history that is taught at all AA/NA meetings. It is important to understand the history of how we came to the current ways to free people from addictions of any kind. Just remember that this is not an easy path as your addictions will fight back to keep where they are.
