I when I was training in Buddhism I was taught to look at death now! I’d never thought of death before and this was new. When I ran into this training again in the Free Masons I was prepared for it. I found it liberating to meditate on death and dying. This has caused me to resolve all ‘issues’ with people in my life. Here Deepak answers questions about death and the importance of accepting it. All the great teachers have told us to except death and not fear it. Enjoy this journey here on this world or this plain of existence. Listen to this book and it will help you. I haven’t listened to any of the other books by Deepak on this subject. Maybe after this I will, but after talking to others who have I and with my background I probably won’t.

True leadership isn't a matter of having a certain job or title. In fact, being chosen for a position is only the first of the five levels every effective leader achieves. To become more than "the boss" people follow only because they are required to, you have to master the ability to invest in people and inspire them. To grow further in your role, you must achieve results and build a team that produces. You need to help people to develop their skills to become leaders in their own right. And if you have the skill and dedication, you can reach the pinnacle of leadership....

    Story

I used to be in the Marines which many people believe is only a level one leader (Position). However, anyone that has read this book will tell you that Position and Title only get action. You want the hearts and minds of the people following you. I learned that early on in my military career. When I left the military I’ve seen many leaders that see themselves as level 5 leaders when really they’re level 1 at best. Too many people see themselves through their perceptions. This book will help you to understand why you need to look at the whole picture and not the perception. This has also helped me to identify my leaders level and see why the Law of the Lid is causing me to look elsewhere. If you are a ‘non-leader’ or a seasoned veteran this book will help you.

Stephen Leeds, AKA 'Legion,' is a man whose unique mental condition allows him to generate a multitude of personae: hallucinatory entities with a wide variety of personal characteristics and a vast array of highly specialized skills. As the story begins, Leeds and his 'aspects' are drawn into the search for the missing Balubal Razon, inventor of a camera whose astonishing properties could alter our understanding of human history and change the very structure of society.

Here we have a man that can see and hear all the spirits around him. He calls them ‘Aspects’ of himself. They can interact with the world through him and even in a time of need share his body. I believe this is meant to be the first in a long running series of books. We see him solve problems and mysteries. We see the complex problems have the most basic solutions. I recommend this book anyone that wants a short read.

As a single guy out dating this book was a great help! It reminded me that it’s not about meeting someone and listening to respond. It’s about listening with the intent to add value to that person. I’ve seen my second date chances increase over 50% as I’ve gotten more second dates. I’ve also been reminded that where I was applying these habits in the office I need to apply them everywhere and in all aspects of my life. John C. Maxwell does a lot to help people and I enjoy his work immensely. I just wish they weren’t going through and ‘updating’ his books with new narrators. I have some of his books on CD still and I liked him reading them. This narrator is the best out of the new group of narrators I’ve listen to thus far. If you're looking for a boost in your life, dating or work relationships this simple easy to read book is for you.

Like most people left behind on an over-populated Earth, police detective Elijah Baley has little love for either the arrogant Spacers or their robotic companions. But when a prominent Spacer is murdered under mysterious circumstances, Baley is ordered to the Outer Worlds to help track down the killer. Then he learns that he has been assigned a partner: R. Daneel Olivaw. Worse, the R stands for "robot" - and his positronic partner is made in the image and likeness of the murder victim!

We’ve all seen or have heard about the movie ‘I, Robot’ with Will Smith. I always said we were missing more of the back story. Here we get it. Isaac Asimov has set a future in which the human race is living in large covered cities afraid to venture out and to change. Our colonies which we settled 1,000 years ago come back to help us. They end up doing it in am most unexpected way. Heck, they didn’t even see it coming. The story centers around a murder and it’s investigation and at the end of the investigation more has been solved than a simple murder. I just wish Audible had the ‘Naked Sun’ available, so I could complete the series without getting an actual book to read.

Paulo Coelho's enchanting novel has inspired a devoted following around the world. This story, dazzling in its simplicity and wisdom, is about an Andalusian shepherd boy named Santiago who travels from his homeland in Spain to the Egyptian desert in search of treasure buried in the Pyramids. Along the way he meets a Gypsy woman, a man who calls himself king, and an Alchemist, all of whom point Santiago in the direction of his quest.

When I first started reading this book I thought I was reading a part of the Count of Monte Cristo. Then as it progressed I felt I was reading the ‘Dream Giver’ and realized this book is what Brian Wilkins was trying to achieve when he wrote his book. The Alchemist was written 20 years earlier and it a great story. The ‘Dream Giver’ always left me wanting more. Here the author give us more and then some. This book ties in very well with ‘Infinite Possibilities by Mike Dooley’ extremely well as well as ‘Excuse Me Your Life Is Waiting by Lynn Grabhron’. Here we meet a young man who thinks he has it all and is content with life, but his dreams tell him there is more out there. He pursues it and the story begins. After reading it I’ve removed the ‘Dream Giver’ from my recommended list and have replaced it with this book instead.

If your looking for a traditional 'self-help' book then keep going. This book is more about core Buddhist principles in the sense that it was more about explaining a theory then directly speaking to you. You will learn things like: People want happiness, not suffering. Lust and hatred are rooted in ignorance. The key to solving this is through meditation.
From here it keeps going. If you want a guide as to why meditation is needed here it is.

A delightful novel about "how girls catch husbands." Listen in to find out: What will happen to sister Lydia? Will the arrogant Lady Catherine de Burgh's intrigues be foiled? Will sister Jane marry Mr. Bingley? And especially, will Elizabeth, cured of her prejudice, and Mr. Darcy, cured of his pride, fall into each other's arms? Listeners will also savor the wit, the sly irony and satire and comedy that Miss Austen crowds into almost every quiet, well-bred line of this novel.

Here we have three sisters and their mother being forced to leave their home due to the death of their father along with the greed of another. In the era this story was written women didn’t get inheritances unless they were married to a man. So when the father dies and their half brothers wife gets greedy its time for them to move. Like with other Jane Austen books she explores the life as it was then from a different angle of her previous books. In the end well, read the book to find out what happens. I’m glad this is available in audio because it’s too long to read with the number of books I have in my ‘pending’ stack.
